Did you see the TD by Nyck Harbor for the Gamecocks? 6'5" 242 lbs and runs the 100 meters in 10.11. The DB was even with Harbor until Harbor kicked it into high gear and beat him by 10 yards for the TD. They said it is like having LeBron James at WR.

Broderick still has a punchers chance to change the narrative. Unlike Devin Bush, Broderick isn't a crybaby B**ch. Never mind that, Broderick was more raw than Tomahawk Steak coming out of college.

As for the fun fact?! Chalk that up to, once again, the classic example of a QB's fate being ultimately determined by the Franchise that selects him. If the Franchise is in constant disarray, no matter how good the QB is, he will surely fail. Trevor Lawrence is such an example; Urban Meyer being his Head Coach a disastrous start to his Career.

Caleb though seems to have rebounded. However, I believe they have done so only because the Bears realized they cannot afford to mess this up with Caleb as they did with Justin Fields.

Agreed on Sellers though he did have some wow moments today. As far as the basics, fundamentals and principles of playing QB though?! I will not be shocked if Sellers stays another year.

For that matter, the fact that the Steelers Scouted the likes of Clemson, Ohio State, LSU and Arizona State tell me that the team knows what it wants (thus far) regarding the QBs. John Mateer from Oklahoma will likely be scouted next. Drew Allar very much in play soon thereafter.

Not 100% certain on who else among QBs would get a look. I still would not count out Fernando Mendoza V though. September 20th is when the Hoosiers face Illinois; a ranked opponent. It will be interesting to see how well Fernando fares in that contest.

Steelers were in attendance for the South Carolina game; to the shock of no one.

$10 says if LaNorris is indeed the pick, no way Pittsburgh doesn't bring Nyck Harbor along for the ride. Way too gifted and way too much potential to work with there; that and CA III could potentially not be a Steeler in 2026 either.

Same, but I'm confident early in the first round it will be a run on QBs and OL.

Because rattler is a midget and wasn't a first round talent, Allar beat two ranked teams in the playoffs last year .

I wouldn't judge Allar based on last year their WRs were terrible they had no catches in the playoff loss to Notre Dame, if he struggles this season against the better teams then I would be concerned.

If AR comes out and wows everyone with a throwback performance, what then? He has not ruled out a second run with the Steelers. We might not be in desperate states until the 27 season. Then we can hire KFP back......lol

I made my case. I like the Picket pick because it only cost us a 1st round pick. Unlike the Devin Bush Pick, or the Broaderick Jones pick.

The year before San Francisco gave up 3 first round picks to select their QB in Trey Lance.

Who do you think got the better deal here? Pittsburgh with Kenny Picket or San Fran with Trey Lance?

Wouldn't be surprised if he is a finalist at minimum.

He does have a murderous row though of games to close the season though. Woo wee... Texas, South Carolina, Ole Miss, Tennessee and LSU?! To close out the season?! That is nuts. If he can surge past those though with flying cololrs?!

Book him firmly into First Round Discussion; Top 10 even.

Indeed! Aguilar played a nice game with no INTs. On top of that, Nico looked like dog chit, which makes me happy.

Harbor quit doing track to solely focus on football. They say he is much improved for this season

If Harbor has a breakout year, Steelers will have to wheel and deal to get him.
Putting the brakes on Sellers, still needs to polish his passing skills.
No doubt he has tremendous athletic ability, but as we have seen a lot lately, takes more than athleticism to be a NFL QB

Some of those rules are dated.

"For Parcells to consider drafting a quarterback, they must meet the following seven criteria:

    • Be a three-year starter
    • Be a senior in college
    • Graduate from college
    • Start 30 games
    • Win 23 games
    • Post a 2:1 touchdown-to-interception ratio
    • Complete at least 60% of passes thrown "

The first three rules matter little.

The 4th and 5th rule rate is higher, but I say they are a tad high. 22 games is enough to play vs. power 5 conferences, 30+ for non power 5 conference players.

The 6th and 7th are very important.

Not listed are a wonderlic scores. Below 18 is a RED Flag
Durability score. I allow one major injury but not two or RED flag
And a interview. DIVA players make good QB's

The QB should be at least 6 feet tall and have a 9" hand and run at least a 5.0 40. If he does not do 1, RED FLAG. If he has 2 DQ.

And his arm should be strong enough to throw the 6,7,8,and 9 routes. With not a lot of air time and good velocity / MPH.
