    This.

Matt Patricia is a Bill Belichick disciple. More often than not, Bill's students make green QBs look like they belong in Middle School. Arch Manning is just another statistic to add to that. Ohio States Defensive Scheme though wasn't the only reason.

How many future Top 50 to Top 75 Players will come from that defense in the next two drafts?! I'd say 10+. That defense is going to be an issue all season; no matter who the QB is.

It very unlikely that Arch Manning will be in this draft... I thought maybe if he had like a dream season, maybe.

But Arch struggled against that defense, however, his receivers suck and they suck big time... wow do they suck.
Anyway, it's almost absolute certainty he will do another year.

All yesterday's game confirmed to me was that all the hype Arch Manning received was nothing more than a desperate attempt by the media to annoit a new "generational talent" to increase ratings, drive up revenue and artificially expand interest nationwide.

The pregame show accomplished this. The actual game?! Massive disappointment.

    Agreed.

I also wouldn't count out Fernando Mendoza even after a very shaky game one. Frank Cignetti Jr and his Offense is going to take time to get going. Once Fernando gets more confidence, watch out. Cade Klubnik disappointed though big time.

LaNorris is up next today. Will be interesting to see how he looks. Speaking of Atheltic Freaks at the QB Position, Taylen Green looked pretty good albeit against Alabama A&M.

That's a tough place for a guy who never started to come in and win. The game was to big for him. One loss can really hurt a college team. Hope he gets bettet

There were some nice performances in this QB class. Yet, 1 game is not a tell all.
And some of the touted ones didn't shine as much as the predictors thought.

From my count me missed 2 or 3 wide open receivers. Touch over the middle is not there yet, and he threw rockets on a few short passes.

He may develop, who knows, but the graphics giving him the Heisman already is embarrassing.

No for the 500 time....he would not force a kid that is winning for him onto the bench just to play another kid. Use your brain. He would lose so many transfers in a minute, and wouldn't be a HC for long. Thousands of kids a year have guys behind them that are better. Is this your 1st time watching college football??

That klubnik guy from Clemson seemed to be way off target all night. So many high passes lsu could have come down with a couple more interceptions.

Well, get prepared for the Marshal Manning Hype Train.

Marshall Manning Middle school Reel. Get ready for the Highschool class of 2030. :)

I don't remember seeing middle schoolers throw passes like that when I was a kid. Although, he looks like the smallest player on the field at times.

You are now just arguing to argue.

Because we have been told for 2 years that Archie is the second coming and a generational talent. Before the game they were inscribing his name on the Heisman Trophy. He sucked bigly, missing at least 2 and maybe 3 open WRs. No touch over the middle or in short passes. Inadvertently you are making my argument.

Didn’t Saban swap Hurts for Tua a few seasons back. My point is if Manning was that good he would have been starting sooner.

I believe your argument is no way would Manning start, even if he was that good. Which he isn’t.

Pretty uninspired is kindly putting in; doubly so in Nico's case.

Dude looked like literal "Deer in Headlights" against Utah. Klubnik though was much worse.

Nussmeyer looked pretty good against a strong defense. The stats for him are a bit misleading.

His numbers kind of resembled many games by Steeler QBs the last few years.
Or it sure seemed like it.

I was lucky to go to Pitt when we played them every year and it was competitive. It was just part of going to Pitt. Road trips to State College, tailgating, Rathskeller. When they started dominating us in the 90s it wasn't much fun anymore.

You constantly replied to me almost every time I said he was not a first round pick. And you argued that blah blah blah.

So like I said, "in so many words" you did.

Be a man? dude you need to take a break from the internet. Just like your boy friend arch needs to take a break from touching a football.

So instead of being a man, and admitting You are wrong, You play with words. Is it hard to admit when You are wrong. I have never once said He was a 1st round draft pick, not once, and You can search this board forever, and not find me saying he was. What I have said multiple time to every single person either way is, it's too early to tell. Now run along puppy, your yapping irritates me. Someday You may grow a pair, and admit when You are wrong.

A popular take is chalking it up to the the Matt Patricia defense. Patricia's defense didn't make him miss a bunch of easy throws. Like not even close easy throws.

More words don't make You correct.
Answer this question, has any player ever played in college with a better player beneath him???
Hell don't answer that, because we both know the answer. It happens every year, or there would not be better players at different positions every year. Did Ben Roethlisberger, P. Manning, E. Manning, Barry Sanders, and thousands of others sit behind another player, and were not the starters??Yes they did, yet each one was better than the guy starting before them. I could make a list so long it would waste board space. So who is arguing just to argue???
