Because of stadium size Penn State would lose a lot of money going to play Pitt and as you say the almighty dollar and Pitt is not willing to play just at Penn State

Conferences make it tough as well because so many games are decided for you

If Penn State makes a run in the playoffs meaning Allar played better than last season he goes top 5, more realistically for the Steelers could be Leavitt or Nussmeier but who knows.

You made my argument for me. Yes, a coach wants to lead his team into the playoffs and will field his best players. He did and his starting QB that was in the playoffs 2 straight years was drafted in the 7th round. If Manning was better he would have played.

 

Nussmeier really looked good going into Clemson and winning against a good defense. The score was misleading as LSU lost a fumble at the 2 yard line and had a TD pass dropped in the end zone. Nussmeier looked sharp.

 

I was disappointed in Klubnik's play for Clemson; his OL didn't help him much by not picking up blitzes though.

 

Yeah the LSU defense looked like a bunch of rabid wolves set loose into the sheep pen.
