    I remember Dawson warning Duncan that the last known time 2 immortals fought on holy ground was in Pompeii... 79 AD.

    And Andrew Divoff playing the wannabe Jesus immortal. He usually got type cast as a villain anyway. Probably because he was good at it.

    IDK how I feel about the whole "there's repercussions to fighting on holy ground" thing. Ramirez clearly said "None of us will violate that law. It's tradition."

    In some literary incarnations of the HL universe, the Kurgan was shown to be a real stickler for the rules. As evil as he was, he followed them to the letter. He once disarmed a badly beaten opponent and instructed him to pick up his sword. The opponent said "Tradition again?"

    "It's all we have."

    And then killed him.

    Appears You remember it well. I really thought they were on to something they should have carried out for a few more episodes.
    I will have to check out these books that you speak of , after I've watched it all.

    I honestly can't remember if it was a book or graphic novel that that scene was from. Maybe both. It's been <mumble>30 something years...

    Just started watching Dark a week or so ago. I hadn't seen it mentioned in this thread (I think someone mentioned it in a movie thread awhile back).

    It took several episodes to really grab my attention, but it is becoming very intriguing. I've heard it described as "mind melting" and while it's mysterious and there have been some twists, I wouldn't describe it that way YET. I'm on episode 7 and it's getting there. But either way, it's pretty good.

    I watched it.

    the best description I’ve seen was on Reddit. I’ll have to paraphrase here, but here’s the gist of it. Basically this guy said my mom walked into my room and asked what I watching. I told her porn. I figured that was easier than trying to explain time traveling alternate universes and incestuous relationships

    @Ray D@Ray D and @Blast Furnace@Blast Furnace
    Two things.
    1. They love some Roger Daltrey, I believe last night's episode about the Stone of Scone ,was the 3rd episode he's been in ,after his head has been taken.
    2. I hate the freaking car Duncan drives while in Europe, his convertible Tbird in Canada/America is way cooler.
