Well, considering none of the big-name NFL insiders have mentioned this trade scenario I would say it's fake .

 

This was inevitable. Commanders are not dumb anymore. Snyder leaving was the best thing that happened to them since winning the Super Bowl in '91.

I know people are tired of hearing it but a 9-8 record and a first round exit is what we can hope for until we get a top 10 QB again.

 

Yeah, I get our TE room is deep... but you don't send off a good young pass catching TE and a second round pick for the right to overpay a 31 year old WR off a career year. We just traded a 2nd rounder for DK Metcalf, and DK is nearly 4 years younger. We weren't trading a second and a quality starter for that. I like McLaurin, but that would be junk value for us. Most I would've gone is a 3rd and their pick of Austin or Wilson.

The contract is a lot too, but I would've been fine with that number for 3 years. Its too much, but we can afford it since we might be on rookie QB salary for the next 5 years.
