Watching Arthur Moats after the game he said that Connor Hayward is not going to make the team. At least from what he saw anyway.

 

I thought about him, but thought Rodgers did enough talking him up in recent media availabilities to save him for another year.

Or they could cut him and tell Cam he can have the $1.1M savings.

 

If Trice is not healthy I don’t see him going on IR

Interesting you have Trice making 53, I would have to say because we saw a lot of Pierre in preseason that he makes 53, Trice is looking IR, but I believe that Trice still has a future w the team

 

i think trice has had and still has too many injuries to overcome. i think porter would be who i'd keep at least on the PS. i think bishop makes it too. pierre because of ST's.

 

Bruener/Robinson and Bishop/Pierre were coin flips for me. Trice probably begins the season on the IR/Return list, so Pierre has a spot for now. I could also see them keeping him over Bishop because of his special teams use.

 

The local media thinks Connor will make the team Arthur Smith loves his TEs, nobody has stepped up to beat him out.

 

Bishop is likely gone because Ramsey and Echols are ahead of him at slot CB, and both of those guys can also play outside CB.

 

Bishop hasn't really done anything eye-popping in camp either.

 

Beanie apparently is injured. He didn't playing the last preseason game

 

Maybe it is the little Devil in me, but I think Connor Hayward makes the team, because Cam ended his Hold-In without a fight.


I am still wondering who Khan will be putting on the trade block for some 6th and 7th round picks. If Khan can get a 6th round pick for Kendrick Green anything is possible. I am not the biggest Khan fan, but for me this is one area where Khan shines that Colbert had nothing to do with. The coaches get it down to the best 50 players and then Khan steps in and says "Before we make the final cut, let me see if I can sell any of these players if they are all basically the same".

 

I thought he played a few snaps Thursday

 

Khan should be trying to get some late round picks for the FG kicker Sauls, Skylar, and Waitman.

 

i expect some O-line additions after other teams cuts.

bishop was steady as always this preseason. he can also play outside if needed. he did in college as well. not ideal but can. he gives that flexibility that they seem to like. i think teams would grab bishop before they would trice because of health. he just can't stay healthy. college or pros so far. i like the kid but c'mon.

 

They will keep Skylar until Will gets off of IR

 

Are you thinking they will have 4 QBs on the 53 man roster to keep Skylar? If they put Will on IR before the season starts he is gone for the entire year, and can't even practice with the team this year. If they cut Skylar and try to slip him in the backdoor on the practice squad, some other team will swoop in to sign him as a free agent to their 53 man roster.

I still think they keep Skylar and then try to sign Will Howard to the Practice squad. How many teams want to sign a 6th round pick who is currently injured to their active roster???

 

Figure we could get a thread started for roster moves and cuts for tomorrow’s deadline.

Early on I’m hearing Will Howard to the IR and Sky makes the 53.
