Russ signed a 1 year contract with an $8 million signing bonus and $2 million base salary. Not impossible for the Giants to eat, or another team to take on part of the GTD money.

If they lost Russ that would still leave them with Winston, 1st round pick Dart, and 3rd year Giants QB Devito, so not a terrible QB room. Giants signed Winston to a 2-year deal and have already said they are keeping Winston for 2025.

I am not sure what I am missing on why the Giants are keeping Russell no matter what.
