Correct. Rudolph continuously looks bad against grocery clerks and future insurance salesmen. 8 years and he still can't figure it out. lol. Thompson at least can escape a pocket...

You can at least go by something close to Skylar.

 

Hell we may pick him back up if we cut him.

 

Two seasons ago MR won some big time regular season games for us and got the team in the playoffs. Or have you forgotten? Get back to me after MR and Skylar play some meaningful minutes in the regular season when both teams have a full weeks worth of preparation against the others starting unit.

Mason just needs this cheap org to give the man a legit fair chance

 

Skylar has played 10 regular season games. He has qb rating of just 66 which is bad. He has just 1 TD and 3 interceptions. He has never had a game with Qb rating over 100. Mason has had 7 games with Qb rating over 100. His career qb rating is 84. Take away two disaster games with Myles Garrett and one after that with 4 interceptions where he was accused of being a racist in national media, and his qb rating is in the 90’s. That’s middle of pack starter in nfl. I doubt if he’s going to be a top franchise qb, but as a back up and bridge qb, he is fine. Skylar is like Will Levi’s. He looks athletic and looks good when his primary receiver is wide open. However. When field is shrunk, he is ineffective. If he was remotely competent, he would have more than 1 td in 10 games. In Contrast, Mason played 10 games in 2019, and had 13 td and 9 interceptions with qb rating of 82…and he was considered bad.

 

Mason is horrendous. Thompson is bad. Mason can't even read a defense against 2-3 string players. Thompson showed that he can at least extend a play and read a defense and get rid of the ball in a timely fashion when he should. lol. Mason continues to not be able to do that...for the last 8 seasons. oh...except two games...lol

 

"Skylar is like Will Levis..." Oh..the Will Levis that beat Rudolph out for a starting job in Tennessee? I'll take the relatively unknown of Thompson over the WELL KNOWN 8 seasons of Mason Rudolph...lol Any day. I'll take the unknown of Will Howard over both of them. lol.

 

Mason should be able to save a bunch of money since you're nice enough to let him live, rent free, in your head!

 

He got us into the playoffs two seasons ago when were seemingly dead in the water and people were calling for tomlin’s head. Hes a proven and battle tested backup.

Skylar has Mitch written all over him. Watch what happens if he’s thrust into a real pressure situation.

 

Mason was the better qb in training camp but Titans were determined to find out if Will Levis was their franchise quarterback or not. Turns out he was not so they drafted Cam Ward. Easiest thing to do is go with Rodgers, Mason, Thompson

Short term IR Will Howard. Let him heal up even further.

Give it 4 weeks, open 21 day window. Keeps him safe and untouchable.

See what QB needy team needs a backup, trade off Mason or Thompson for a late rounder.

Or you may need them yourself, especially if an injury happens through 4 games at QB.
Rodgers isn't a good stage to be durable at his age.
