What is an acceptable season this year?

SB is the only thing that is acceptable, once you make the playoffs. I don't give two f**KS about being the 3rd ,4th or 5th best team. Make the playoffs means a successful season. Don't make the SB means a unsuccessful post season.
Here let me ask you a question.....If we don't make the playoffs, is that a successful regular season??? If not, then if we make the playoffs, but then don't make the SB it should be a unsuccessful post season.

 

Forget about the AFC championship game. The Ravens, Bills and Chiefs two of those 3 teams will be in the AFC championship.

 

With the team we have it would be unacceptable to miss the playoffs (assuming health in key areas). It would be painful to be a first round exit again, but it wouldn't be an unacceptable outcome. We just don't have the QB play to win in the playoffs yet. We should hope for a playoff win. That would be a good season this year. I think AFCCG is probably our peak. We aren't good enough to win it all without Aaron Rodgers turning into his prime self again in the post season.

We have an 12 win ceiling and a 9 win floor imo

 

we will struggle to beat either Baltimore or Cincinnati. I'm thinking there's 4 losses right there. I had picked them to go 10 and 7 I believe. So any kind of a playoff win would be a HUGE surprise to me.

 

We need to get in playoffs and win a playoff game, this would be huge for our younger players.

 

it is. why play if you don't intend to reach the top? in what sport anywhere do athletes go into a season and only want to do OK? gee we won a playoff game, i can quit now i'm satisfied. i cut any player with that mentality. you are not a true fan if you accept defeat that easily. no that is not acceptable.

 

When the season is unacceptable, it means we have to consider making major changes in the players, front office, or coaching staff.

Like last year, the Steelers considered their collapse at the end of the year unacceptable, which is why they have so many new starters at several positions.

omar wants to win. so do the rest of these guys. do you think cam and TJ and ramsey and slay and rodgers and DK and elliott and queen and boswell, and smith and gainwell, and any of the others want to get a participation trophy and will be satisfied if they just win a playoff game?

No, I don't want the players to be satisfied with just one playoff win but you need to have at least a chance if you want to win the super bowl!....When you have a chance, anything can happen afterward.

I was disappointed when the Steelers didn't win the Super Bowl in 2004 and 2010, since we always want to win the Super Bowl when we have a chance, but in hindsight, I still consider the 2004 and 2010 seasons a great seasons!...I still have great memory for those seasons!

No way I can call that unacceptable... Unacceptable for me is a season like 2018 when they were a super bowl contender but they were unable to make the playoffs because of an awful 3 game losing streak came from nowhere!

 

If it were that simple then teams like the Browns, falcons,lions… would have won multiple super bowls
