There are back ups and people that will not be on roster. Skylar had wide open receivers for most part. I saw Skylar in Miami’s playoff game and he was atrocious.

He was a 3rd team rookie who because of injuries had to start a playoff game against Josh Allen and the Bills. The Dolphins almost won that game losing 33-30. Compare that Rudolph's playoff game against Buffalo that wasn't even close.

Are you kidding me. Warren completely saved Mason from getting killed. That OT never even looks at #48, doesn't block a single person on that play, and doesn't even yell "Look out Mason" when #48 goes flying behind him into the backfield. :)

Because Warren was able to slow #48 down, Mason is allowed to escape to the outside. If that would have been Rodgers that would have been the end of the Steelers season if Warren had not been there to throw the block.

Are You slow , or are you just trying to aggravate me. Does he get blown up, or not, did Mason have to take off , or not because the guy went right through Warren???
I tell you what , why didn't you show your little snapshots past that point??
Because the guy went right through him, and Mason had to take off. He'll I don't know why I'm arguing with you, any one can see it , it's on the dang game, and they will be showing replays of it.

Sorry I meant to say he sucked. Actually he was below average. His passer rating while in Cleveland was average 87.8. Now to put it in context of my original post. I was merely pointing out that an average to below average QB can play well simply by changing teams.

That's great. How many games did he win??
People can take their Qb rating , and shove them. Did You know that Trubisky had a better Qb rating in Pittsburgh, than Ben did in his last two years. Yet one had over 50 tds, and winning seasons, and the other had more ints than tds, and not a winning record.
So was Trubisky better than Ben here??

Skylar was 18/45 with 1 td and 2 interceptions with passer rating of 44. Mason was 22/39 with 229 yards with 2 Td and one interception with passer rating of 80. Clearly Mason did better. Steeler defense didn’t get the turnovers that Miami defense got to keep it close. If Mason played for Miami that day, they would’ve won.

Did he take them to the playoffs?
Did he win a playoff game??
He's average, and hes still average. He has up years, and down years, because he's average, and he still is average. Untill he can show me at least 3 years in a row where he looks good, he's average. He has shown good years, and bad years since his been in the NFL. That's average. Not suck. Suck would be no good years.

I think of the 4 years he was with the stains he won a playoff game. I still think he is markedly better after leaving Cleveland. Which was my entire point from the start lol

Thats why I say he's average. He's had good years, and terrible years with Cleveland, and would guess it will be the same in Tampa. Good years, and bad. Maybe not as bad as in Cleveland, but they aren't the mistake by the lake Cleveland Browns. I believe when it's all said , and done, he will show to be average, with as many bad years, as good, and IMO, that make him average. If not, I will come back, and say I was wrong.

Rudolph was a 6 year vet in his playoff start and Thompson was a rookie making only his second start in his. Rudolph has had the better career up until now no question about that. The key phrase being up until now. I do agree though that I think the Steelers will keep Rudolph over Thompson because of his familiarity with the team.

Ben had a better QB rating in 2020 and 2021 that Trubisky had with us

Ben was above 90 in 2020 and 86 in 2021...Trubisky was at 81 in 2022 and 71 in 2023.Unless you talk about the QBR of espn who I agree is not a good stat

I'm glad the replacement long snapper got in some reps.
