Not interested Richardson completes like only 55% of his passes.

I would love to have Richardson on the team, as a fullback.

They have been to two SBs since that time. People can say what they want, but they didn't have Qbs throwing ungodly numbers during their SB win, because that wasn't their style, and they beat a lot of teams that year that it was their style

You are right about no where close to Browns in drafting qbs.
But we sure as hell as close picking up retread qbs every year.
Will happen again next year, whether it be 1 or 2 or all 3 again.
    Hopefully, they keep Howard. Lol

Their QB in 1985 was good but Grossman in 2006 was so bad that he was benched after 3 games the year after!

I think their chances would have been much better to win the super bowl in 2006 if Grossman would have been benched after some atrocious games he had that year(like after the back to back awful game vs Pats and vikings) and put Brian Griese as the starter....Grossman was not better than Trubisky was in Chicago!

IMO Nick Foles the best of them and Trent Dilfer the worse. He was blessed with an amazing D.

Joe Theisman was the best QB in this list...He won the MVP in 1983

Doug Williams could be thrown in there, too..... but he was a high 1st round draft pick for Tampa Bucs, IIRC.

    ?!

Pittsburgh is not even close to the futility that Cleveland, Miami or even Washington has since 1999. Big Ben, Pickett, Wilson and now Rodgers. These four are, more or less, what Pittsburgh has dealt with.

If anything, it is really Pickett, Wilson and Rodgers. If you want to add Rudolph and Fields on the merit of making a jersey solely based on playing time then by all means. Otherwise, Those three are it.

Yes he was terrible at Florida. Never understood why he was drafted as high as he was. He is an athlete but sucks as a QB

I'm still intrigued by Richardson to be honest. He still has all the tools, and less than a season worth of games played(15).

Quite a few people around here wanted to keep giving Fields chances after 50 games based on potential. I wasn't one of them because I believe we've seen everything he has to offer, but in Richardson's case I'm not so sure. He JUST turned 23.

I don't change my plans for him but, if the price is right let him come in and learn

When looking at Richardson's stats compared to all other QBs he's considered a statistical 'outlier'. As in, objectively one of the worst QBs of this decade in many metrics.

Yeah, I understand that, but you have to keep trying things, even if it's a lower percentage chance of working. He clearly, at 21 and inexperienced, was not ready to be thrown in as the man. The kid got some bad advice to even declare. He has 29 total starts between college and pro's. Of course, as I said, the price has to be right. Once the reward outweighs the risk, I'd give it a shot. Sometimes you have to plant a lot of seeds to get the yield you're looking for.

I'm still drafting a guy obviously. Even if they did pick him up. There's very little guarantees with the draft either.

He played 24 games in college and never cracked 60% completion. Same problem as in the pros but worse. That isn't even backup level play for the NFL. Being an athlete doesn't mean he can play QB.
