People laugh at the Browns and Colts but the Steelers are working on their own QB jersey:

I mean the difference is they didn't draft 5 of them in the first round and a total of 40 different QBs starting since 1999.

Nor did they dump a guy who was solid while signing a guy that hadn't played in 2 years to a mega deal.

The Former 1st round QBs they've had have been on team (Not to mention former SB champs) came on team friendly deals.

Ben retired in 2022 and since then we have had two 10-7 seasons making Playoffs both times with those QB's.

IMO Rodgers will be best QB we have had since Benny boy left.

This is bad right now but no one are close to the browns right now, even the colts are not close right now....At least they had Manning and luck for about 20 years

For the Browns, just since 2010,they draft(or waste)a first round pick on 28 years old Weeden,Manziel. And the big rock bottom for them was the Watson trade and Mayfield has been very good since he is in Tampa Bay

Before 2010,it was still awful for the browns too

What about the Commanders and Dolphins? Commanders went from Rypien to Daniels...30 years. Dolphins still haven't really had a franchise QB since Marino retired. At least Browns had Mayfield. :lolol:

The Chicago Bears are terrible too since a very long time!

Their last franchise QB was like in the 1940s!

MacMahon was good enough to win a Super Bowl. Only Marino beat him in 1985. So was Brad Johnson, Trent Dilfer, Jeff Hostetler, Joe Theisman, Nick Foles.

True but they were not franchise QB who could carry their team for a long period of time outside of maybe Theisman

    Um no.

Rudolph was drafted when Ben was still playing.
Fields was never the starter, filled in for injured Wilson.

    So that list really reads:

    Trubisky
    Pickett
    Wilson
    Rodgers

I would even argue it is more:

    Pickett
    Wilson
    Rodgers

Trubisky was never intended to be a long term answer, just a bridge until Pickett was ready.

Going even further you could even just whittle it down to Pickett. Wilson and Rodgers were not brought in to be franchise guys.

We aren’t remotely close to the Browns. Most of their misses have been draft picks, hell they drafted 5 more this year.

or even the colts since 2019...They have wasted so many high draft picks on QBs since Luck like Wentz, Ryan and Richardson
