Rodgers, Metcalf, Heyward and Watt not playing in last preseason game

Not looking to the Falcons for a winning example, but at least Penix played on the Falcons last year. For Rodgers, this is a new team, new coaches, and he has no idea what the in-game experience is with the Steelers. The closest he's come is the two-minute drill against TB, and he didn't score one first down.

 

Stafford did not play in the preseason in his first year with the rams in 2021....

 

Yeah, because Stafford played in the same state as Penix is currently playing in so it equals out.

Problem is... Steelers look worse in weeks 12-18, than they do in week 1. It's the Cowher years in reverse. Cowher teams started out slow and kicked ass later on in the season.

September has been a good month for the mediocre 2020's Steelers.

Under Tomlin the Steelers are 0.500 in the first month of football.

 

I was referring more to recent years. Tomlin had some bad starts... 2013 Steelers started 0-4, but finished strong.

 

NFL.Com has been running an ad in their ticker for this game all week, so I am hoping this is their national game tonight, and we may get the NFL Network Broadcasters, and not the local boys in Carolina.
