    With a 17 game season now, is Week 1 considered the last pre-season game? A mulligan in waiting of sorts? Sure seems that way for Steelers the past few years. :shrug:

    The week 1 are often ugly in the NFL,not just for the steelers but since 2020 the steelers are 4-1 in week 1 and it includes a win in Buffalo and Cincy

    Many starters play at least one meaningless preseason game to get the feel back of real live action instead of practicing against your own teammates. Burrow even got thrown around like a ragdoll cause the past 3 seasons he didn’t play one snap and they started horribly every one of those seasons. I’m certain there are benefits to starters playing at least one quarter of one game.

    It's not like the Steelers plan on being contenders for a Super Bowl. Team leadership is happy providing entertainment. They think a winning record and getting blown out in the first round every year is great entertainment. I've become disgusted with their lackadaisical attitude. All talk, no results.
