Fields didn't have a good game against a depleted Cowboys defense but he did lead the team to a score to take the lead only to watch the defense allow the Cowboys march down the field and score as the game ended.

 

Yeah, I remember now... Cowboys had 2 red zone turnovers. Still... Fields should have done better at QB vs a depleted Cowboys defense.

Like I said,this game was awful,by far the worst game by Fields as steelers.I don't understand why you're always talking about that game for Fields. It's not like I defended his bad play in that game.

It would be like if I'm only talking about the game against the Colts for Harris, when he was just awful (13 carries for 19 yards) against that awful colts run defense, when an washed Patterson had 42 yards on 7 carries before getting injured in Indy.He was by far the worst player of this team in that game

How many teams must Fields play on , and suck before you admit he is just not a good Qb. If the draft was today, and all the GMs, and Owners knew what they now know, He would be a late round pick, well maybe the Colts would be stupid enough to draft him early.

 

The Defense was worn out by the Offenses terrible ineptitude.

 

My point with Harris was we can choose a game to every players to make him look bad.

And yes,Fields could be terrible this year and if this is the case,his days as full time starter will be over.We just need to wait and see what will happen with him

 

That was part of it as we lost the time of possession 33-27. But we just couldn't stop their offense all game as they rolled up over 450 yards. If it wasn't for them self destructing with 3 turnovers in scoring position and committing 11 penalties they would have blown us out.

 

Because some Steelers fans keep saying Fields should've been the starter the whole season, Russell Wilson first game as a Steeler against the Jets he was rusty but the Steelers still scored over thirty points and won.

 

Part of the reason Harris struggled because teams didn't respect the passing game and would stack the box to stop the run.

 

A washed Patterson had almost 25 more rushing yards in 6 less carries that Harris in that game.....

 

WOW! Sometimes the other team is just better than you that day. Look at the entire season.

So we are cherry picking. I can look to one game here , or there for any player to look good , or bad. If you ever played sports You know when a different player is in, You react differently. When any starters come out that happens. In every sport.

Look, my point is that you shouldn't judge Fields with us or any other players on their worst game... In the other games, he wasn't perfect but he was far from being trash like Trubisky was with us and I would have had no problem staying with him for the rest of the 2024 season and even for the 2025 season, especially it was far from guaranteed in March that Rodgers was going to sign with us

 

Actually it was guaranteed Rodgers was signing in March

That deal was worked out and the June date was agreed upon

That became public information once he signed

 

That's the way it sure seems to be.

 

They weren't going to stick with Fields because the passing game was too limited, it improved once Wilson became the starter but they couldn't sustain it.
