Rodgers, Metcalf, Heyward and Watt not playing in last preseason game

I'll take some rust over an ACL.

 

This seems to be the way a lot of team are handling the new preseason, when they have Vets that are proven assets.
Personally, I prefer to see them for a series or two.
I didn't approve of the Bengals leaving Joe out there to get thrown on the ground so many times until Quinn decided to put in all his guys not likely to make the team..
That just seemed stupid to do.

 

I think they should get a couple series as well but this seems to be the new norm with 3 preseason games.

Week one will be an offensive thing of beauty, TRUST ME!!!

 

It will be a 16-10 type game in week 1,maybe week 2 too

Of course,we need to mention that around half of the NFL don't play the starters in the preseason and I don't think it would matter much for a team to play preseason against vanilla offense or defense and backup players

 

The goal of the last pre season game is to first of all have no injuries and secondly get a last look at the players fighting for a roster spot.

 

this is faulty logic.

an ACL can happen anytime, anywhere.

this first unit needs reps.

Right...the preseason reps would have really helped that five game skid to end the year last year.

 

Absolute disgrace of an OL for Burrows. If anyone should be running around it should be the O line as a punishment for a awful job of protection.

 

I'm ok with it either way...
Personally, I would let them run a couple... but I don't have any issues with them not. Don't want to blow up an investment in a meaningless game.
Joe Burrows looked like he worked in a deep mine before the fist 15 minutes was up.

 

JB skipped leg day after playing a quarter of football with his Oline. It was like the keystone cops out there lol

 

We know what all 4 of these guys are capable of. Playing them in the most meaningless NFL preseason game would be foolish. They should have all seen some playing time in preseason game 2.

If you get NFL Network the Steelers are on at 7:00 Thursday night.

 

I would take a 6-3 win in week one, a win is a win .

 

What's the saying??? When they start talking of trust is when You count the silverware.

 

I know this, we may lose to the Jets, any given game things can happen, but if we played Fields, and the Jets 10 times, the Steelers would win at least 7 of them.
