    “Say it @int so Roc!”

    I think like STD stated and brought up a good point. I liked him but they said the QB, was not happy with his effort on the potential TD pass. Not enough ♥️?

    pretty easy to see why taylor was cut. maybe the pass was the reason but he did many other things very well too. i think it simply came down to skowronek hurt, austin hurt, williams as the punt returner now since austin is hurt, hurlman and roc in a battle for that spot. 2 OT's hurt, so they had to sign a lineman. lee had his heroics as a backup LS, he garnered another week on the squad for it. new LS added for kuntz injury. can't cut kuntz or any of the injured guys until the injury is healed. we also have a couple of DB's injured in trice and kent. that's at least 7 guys injured that can't be cut yet. one as a returner. so instead of starting to look for cuts from the 90 man roster you have to start at 80 or even 79 and go backwards. subtract who they think the 53 are so far and you have about 24 or 23 or even 22 guys to choose from with the extra QB's and punter and howard injured as well. taylor and fahoko and the LB were the 3.

    you also have to look at positions that they have guys they want to keep at. castro at safety. positions they won't be playing for the last preseason game at. TJ, herbig dinged up, robinson on the bubble at ILB, extra TE's since smith is hurt and muth isn't going to play much. 2 kickers. an extra LS. it becomes a numbers game.

    trice
    kent
    howard = woodside
    smith = galbreath
    anderson
    warren
    kuntz = mccade
    austin
    skowronek
    herbig
    cam holding in
    williams= returner
    extra kicker sauls

    2 kickers
    2 punters
    5 QB's
    2 LS

    this alone leaves you at about 17 guys to choose from to cut to make room for additions you normally wouldn't have. :cool:

    One media guy said there were some behavioral problems with Taylor, but he didn't want to go into detail.

    Roc Taylor has the size, speed and hands to play in the NFL but not giving a full effort and having behavioral problems is why he will be playing in the UFL not the NFL. It amazes me that players like him have one chance to go out and make millions but would rather half ass it and cause problems.

    Why is it this seems to be the case with so many receivers

    The case of the "Roc Taylor Grassy Noll"

    To get on Mike Tomlins list, you have to be underperforming as he has been pretty tolerable to behavior issues as long as the guy has performance.
    Roc Taylor was on the "C" list destined to not make the team come Aug 26.
    He was victim of the numbers also.
    Add that in with how the other receivers are performing and providing versatility by playing special teams... Roc was a long shot.
    The the injury list grew and that sure didn't help him.

    I didn't like how he did not make a good attempt to catch that overthrown go route... he didn't extend. It's preseason and you're trying to make the team, Roc.
    There was also some blocking issues. I felt he was in a DJ way but without the skills.

    Great question. I have wondered the same thing for awhile now. WR head cases seem to land in the Burgh.

    I think it’s more like Mac said and just a numbers game. If he got on Tomlins bad side that certainly wouldn’t help but he wasn’t heavily involved with ST which probably did him in more than anything else.

    You need to watch more teams. It's a NFL Wr problem, not a Steeler problem.

    if your in the dog house with a "player's coach" ...

    I heard one thing about fighting in practice... it's starting to look like Roc Taylor has no one to blame but himself...

    Fair but it's actually the only team I watch and care about :) @STD@STD
