Movies Recently Watched

I would say pretty much the worst War of the Worlds movie I have ever seen.

There are Movies out there that truly need to be shown on a Big Screen to be appreciated; Prime's War of the Worlds needs to be shown on the smallest screen you have, preferably your phone as that is the way the movie is presented. This movie truly looks like a student film shot on an I-Phone in somebody's apartment. Even the out of office scenes are grainy as sh!t, and come across as blurred images at best.

Not a clue what you meant by this "Lot's of hi-tech stuff." as their is not much good CGI content in the film. Are you talking about when they are looking at the computer screen to see the servers being hacked, because that was plain stupid. A funny War Games moment. "Do you want to play a game"

 

But you were duly warned Brice - "a different take and perspective". Honestly, not sure why they felt compelled to even make another version. But that's how lazy Hollywood is when remakes and movies based on comic books and video games represent 90% of the ones they release.

 

This is a decent horror movie with some funny moments.

 

I've been wanting to see this.

 

By chance found an old De Niro movie called 1900. Set in early 20th century Italy. Never heard of it before. I just watched bits and pieces.

 

Just saw this last night. That actress will always be Ruth from Ozark to me. Alright movie but, the print AMC had was way too dark.

 

I keep seeing previews for it, and I will watch it eventually. I got so much stuff to watch, and so very little time for it.
Especially since football is starting

 

It's not something that HAS to be seen in a theater.

 

Did You ever watch the 2022 movie Barbarian ?? It's by the same writers, and director.

I know what you mean about Ruth. I've watched Michael C. Hall in other shows but he is Dexter always.

 

It has its moments. I thought it was very good in parts , and not in others.

 

Just saw where "Nobody 2" with Better Call Saul (Bob Odenkirk) is soon to be released. The first one was better than I thought it would be where he plays a quiet unassuming family guy who becomes a real revenge badass. Looking forward to this one.

 

I haven't seen the 1st one.

 

I think I want to watch it again since the new one is just now released and won't stream for a bit. Some checking says it will first appear on Peacock no sooner than mid-late September but who knows. If you like Bob O from BB and BCS you should like Nobody #1 from 2021.

 

I know someone posted about this movie before but I just watched Dale and Tucker vs Evil last night. That's horror-comedy at its finest.

Cabin in the woods was pretty great

 

I've never watched either one of those shows .

 

That's the reason I haven't watched it.
First because I've never watched any of those shows, and secondly, because everytime I've seen a preview I've thought, John Wick, or Equalizer, but without Keanu, or Denzel.

 

I Loved when they tried doping the pot head, but he was such a pothead, it was of little effect. LoL
I thought Cabin in the Woods was freaking awesome.
