They are most definitely keeping that option open

That does not mean they will actually do it

    Good choice

On a side note for 59 years when I went to an Italian restaurant I would order a Stella beer

Then I went to Italy and found out Stella is from Belgium

    Now I drink Peroni

I've drank both, and I'm not a fan. I like my beer so dark, and thick you can't see through it, and You can cut the head with a knife.

They could fill the qb position in free agency as well. However, that isn’t the point. People claiming the Steelers are trading up in the draft next year to draft a quarterback are simply speculating. None of us outside of the front office know what their plan is and no matter what it may be it could very well change once the draft starts.

It's a given they're going to draft a QB in the first round next year, why do you think Khan played the comp game during free agency. It's not a coincidence they wanted 12 draft picks the year the QB class is deep, and the draft will be held in Pittsburgh.

No it is not a given

    But certainly a possibility

And get your pea brain off the 12 picks because 7 of those are after the third and will have no value regarding trying to trade up in the first

If you would take me off of ignore I already explained this

Moving up in the first to get a potentially good QB likely would cost the 1st 2nd three 3rds and next years 1st

Other than you who here thinks Omar would do this

I used to brew a beer called “Stump Lifter Stout”

If you have decent ball point pen you can actually write on the foam of a Guinness I’ve done it and it pretty much stays there as you slowly drink it down

Good lord man it is not a given. Why is that so hard for you to understand? What if they don’t like any of the quarterbacks that come out next year? Should they draftone they don’t believe fits their scheme or will succeed in the nfl? Just drafting one for the sake of drafting a quarterback makes total sense said no one ever

What if the aren’t able to move to get one they want

Just because you have extra picks to trade doesn’t mean you instantly get a trade partner

Brew some again, and send me some. I got a cousin that brews some also, but his is very hit, and miss. One batch will be great, and another freaking awful.

I tried to teach him in the past but he kept telling me he didn’t care

The KidAnalCyst told me the same thing and by now I suspect he is a has been cornerback from a third world college team and is now washing cars

It’s sad when someone doesn’t care to learn

I started brewing back in the dark ages and never had a batch that was less than very good

But now there are so many options I don’t have the desire to have 5 gallons of the same thing

Recently gave all my brewing equipment stainless steel kegs and tap equipment to Goodwill

Exactly. There seems to be a lot of fans that think this is madden and trades happen because a button was pressed. It takes two to tango.

Tyler may be able to play his way on to some other teams 53 man roster after the Steelers cut Thompson to get down to 53 to start the season.

Then again, Will Howard is a 6th round pick, that could not be Guaranteed the 3rd string QB position.

I am not sure how the IR rules work before the season with regards to the season starting 53 man roster? I have seen them announce the 53 man roster, and then start immediately sending players to IR, and signing other players to the 53 man roster they just cut.

Khan nor Weidl will divulge that info as we speak today. Reason being is that the 2025 NCAA FBS I Season hasn't begun yet; no evidence to use to nab a QB. Until there is a clear choice, Khan and Weidl will both likely be keeping their proverbial cards close to their chest.

As @Blast Furnace@Blast Furnace has been saying though, there is still a chance it could not happen at all. Weidl did say that a trade up to nab a QB isn't in the cards currently. However, too early to fully buy in to Weidls words.

Trade him for a receiver, a good receiver!!?? One preseason game after a few years of total crap play and on a one year contract and you think a team would send a good WR? We may get a 6th with a trade for him and giving up a 7th, or a truly needy team will just wait and sign him one he is cut.

By all indications they really like Howard, they can put him on the 4 week IR and see how the season progresses, fill season IR, or they can keep him on the 53 to run the scout team/emergency QB. Other options available for sure, up to and including cut and let him walk, Skylar had a decent preseason game, but think the talk about one half against scrubs is pretty ridicules.
