Couple TV shows some may enjoy

I only had time to watch the 1st episode, and I liked it so far. I also noticed the interior of the ship, and the room for mother was almost exactly the same, but the name of the ship was different, and the cryo unit was more like the 2nd movie Aliens, which would have been way later than the 1st. Again, I liked it so far , and will try watching the 2nd tonight, after My Highlander episode. LoL

 

You talking about Timothy Olyphant??? I dig him, and He was in I Am Number Four, and Dreamcatcher , both sci-fi. My favorite movie with him is A Perfect Getaway with Milla Jovovich. Great who done it.

 

Yes. That is Mr justified. Haven’t seen any of those movies.

I will try watching alien earth again tonight. The condo above mine had a significant water leak the other day. So I moved into an airbnb for a bit while trying to get my place back in order. Just too much crap on my mind to focus on television right now

 

I'd watch A Perfect Getaway 1st.

 

While I wouldn’t toss jovovich out of bed for eating crackers I’m not sure she’s hot enough to warrant watching everything she’s in

It's actually a good movie. Just don't read about it, and know what's going down before you watch it. It will ruin it.

 

See I don’t watch any movie because of the cast. Can’t say that I have a favorite actor or actress. Either I like the story/cinematography/score or I don’t. Couldn’t care less who is in the film. Now there are some films I would prefer if someone like Jon cusack wasn’t in. It’s not that he’s a bad actor. It’s just that hes basically played every roll exactly the same. The guy from swingers and wedding crashers is the same way to me. He plays the same character over and over.

 

I usually watch movies by who the Director, or writer is, but I have to admit, I have watched almost everything that Milla is in.
Now John Cusack wasn't even close to the same actor in My Bodyguard (if You can remember that movie), as He was in (My Favorite Cusack movie) Grosse Pointe Blank.

 

The soundtrack to grosse point blank is great. Almost as good as the soundtrack to high fidelity

 

John cusack wasn’t in my bodyguard. His sister Joan was in it. Matt Dillon played the lead

 

He was also in The Mandalorian and the 1st Hitman film.

 

Finished the 2nd episode. I'm still liking it very much. Just one thing that I'm not sure about...

the synthetic from the ship is able to knock the Xenomorph out in just about 1 second with electricity. I've never seen anything take a Xenomorph down so quickly and render it harmless. It didn't kill it, just knocked it out for a bit, but seems too easy to be able to do that to an Alien.

I will have to get back on this tomorrow after I watch the 2nd one.
I usually wait to watch until a whole season is done, but My DVR is down to 2%. LoL

 

Ok, I like the 2nd episode of Aliens Earth, but I hate having to wait for the next episodes. This is why I usually watch shows after the season is over.

Just cancelled Hulu a few weeks ago and had to watch it on FX. OMG - 30 minutes of commercials and then 90 seconds of the show. ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ

 

When did the name xenomorph pop up. I don’t remember them being named Alien or Aliens. Just seems like one day the alien was called xenomorph

 

I believe, but don't quote me on it, but I believe it was in one of the books between the 1st two movies, and I also believe, but don't quote me on it that it was mentioned in the 2nd movie Aliens, or the 3rd, I can't remember.

I started googling after asking the question. It came up in the second movie. In Ancient Greek xenos translates to stranger or foreigner and morph translates to shape or form. So Lt Gorman referred to them as a xenomorph in Aliens, but they were never intended to be named at all

 

I thought it was said in the 2nd movie. Hell almost everything is we say today when I look it up is basically from Greek, or old Latin.
