Cam signed a legally binding contract. It doesn’t matter what he verbally said while putting ink to paper. He should honor the contract. If he has a hard time living off of 130,000,000 then he or his wife has a huge spending problem. I didn’t buy my truck and say if next year I want bigger tires if I feel like I want them so you should just do me a solid. Owners are greedy bastards but we are the stupid customers. Big difference.

Listen I agree it’s a bad look for Cam even more so after he told Rodgers either you want to be a Steeler or you don’t….

Guy has made a ton of money in his Steeler career play out the contract you signed and figure out next year.

Ultimately I think the Steelers cave to his demand in someway although I’m a little surprised it hasn’t already happened. Would he really be willing to sit out games losing money and even having to return money he already accepted for 2025??

he is a nuisance, will be a pain in the ass the start of this year. what good will that do unless Khan knows he is going to cave eventually

they will cave, but I don't like it. Did Cam PAY BACK money the years that he played HALF SEASONS with injuries, while the team / OWNER kept him around and supported him?

    the answer is NO.

    he is a clown

he is a punk - like too many in the league and current player generation

his brother, BTW - may be cut, but that is not intended to 'send a message' - as I have seen some of that out there......

His brother should have been cut 2 years ago but MT loves them both. Nowhere else in the league would he have made the team. CFL would be his ceiling otherwise. I like Cam but yea, he is being a punk about this unnecessary drama.

Honestly I would give them cam for free.
    1. Cam is hurting us from signing others
    2. He's a fat cry baby.

Steelers need to start telling players be who are stupid.

While I think there is some over-reaction here about Cam’s stance, I can agree that I don’t like that he is 1 year beyond signing a reworked deal.

I do appreciate that Cam is coming off a great year, proving many doubters wrong.

The years? The years that he played half seasons as in more than one year?

a truly stupid take by you, but nothing is surprising anymore. A decade ago he missed half a season.

You really should stick to reviewing qb play. Oh wait you’re terrible at that as well.

So MR standing in the pocket for 6 seconds and can’t find a receiver because they all still suck at getting separation and then scrambling to the right and taking a sack cause the LT can’t contain his man is fantastic QB play. Any idiot QB in the league as long as MR has been should know to throw the damn ball away on 1st and 10 instead of now having 2nd and much longer. Don’t worry though your hero Coach Tomlin will straighten it all out by year 20 in the league. Enjoy these 9-8 seasons and 1st round blowouts cause while things aren’t getting terrible worse, they are absolutely getting no better neither.

Let Cam demand a trade and then strip his C off his uniform. At 36 they won’t get much return but I guess he thinks he is still a spring chicken.

I’m not going to turn on Cam over this.
It will be worked out by the start of the season and all will be forgotten.

Wake me up if it carries into the season.

Lol that is probably true. Sid helped save the franchise and has taken undermarket deals almost his whole career. Skenes is the best pitcher in baseball on maybe the worst franchise in the league.

I can't think of any Steeler who has outperformed his contract or is a no-trade candidate. Too much mediocrity from this squad over the past few years.

Just for discussion purposes what is the tipping point for you guys? I mean the honor the contract angle is a solid point but it makes me curious about how you would feel if the went to Cam or TJ or now DK and Ramsey and said would you mind restructuring your deals so we have cap space and contingency money and any or all them saying nope we're good. Not that it would ever happen because who doesn't want money up front before the season starts. Would honoring the contract they signed cover not opting for restructuring and would you cast that choice as selfish and not helping the team? Is it honor your contract up and until the team needs help for overspending and not being fiscally responsible? Is there a balance point?

Didn't read through 7 pages of posts so somebody probably already mentioned this. But speculation is that all Heyward is looking for is the 2026 roster bonus to be pulled forward and guaranteed. He wants this because a) he already knows he isn't going to play in 2026, b) the Steelers are looking to move on from him after this season.
It's $13M, so alter the contract to pay him now while adding two more void years to reduce the cap hit.

btw, I suggest Kahn have this tape rolling in the background in his office the next time Heyward comes in for a talk. In fact, Kahn should have had it rolling when Watt came in the door:

Chuck Noll said, "If you're thinking about retirement, you're already retired." As it relates to Heyward, if he's been thinking about renegotiating his contract since the second he signed it, and is talking about sitting out regular season games, then he is not and has not been all in. He can go.

Like Heyward said about Rogers, “If you want to be a Pittsburgh Steeler, be a Pittsburgh Steeler.”.

This really irritates me. He said yesterday he is willing to miss regular season games...I thought more of Cam before this and now I am ready to trade him to somewhere with no hope...Panthers?

Let's move forward with Black and Harmon.

For me it shows he's only going to perform to how much he is paid.

    So I say
    - post June 1st cut. Save 8.5 million
    - sign christian wilkins

    Or
    Call Washington
    - send Camel-toe heyward
    - send 3rd
    - receive mclaurin
