Funny you say that... I wonder if they make him a ILB. He does not have the speed off the edge that Steeler OLB's need to have, and he is not strong enough to take a tackle one on one like Steeler OLB's need to do. He does work his way through traffic well though, much like out ILB's. Only question is if he can play the pass well enough to make that move.

Team doctors checked out his neck and had no problems. Colbert said they are very comfortable with his medical status.

Colbert said he was excited after he ran 4.9 at the combine, because they started thinking there might be a chance he could fall.

Look at Jones and his numbers, playing in the SEC. The guy makes plays behind the line and for those who complain about his 40 time remember he only has to run 10 yards to get a QB on the majority of plays. Guy will get plenty of PT and don't think DL is doing cartwheels with a package of J Dub, Wood, and Jones! You want QB pressure to create turnovers, you just got it. Love the pick fellas.

If you want to try and diminish his sacks go ahead but 10 sacks is 10 sacks and Tomlin has already said that he is the starter. Do you think Jones will start? Not a chance.

For some reason, I can't watch them with Chrome anymore. I have to use Firefox. Maybe that will help.

Was Jones at 100% at his pro day? I know he didnt run at the combine but I'm not sure why. I ask because I watch Jones on tape and I can't believe he ran 4.9/5.0 at his pro day.

LeBeau better get Jones some playing time in his rookie year dude is old 24 can't afford to sit on the bench and learn for 2-3 years. Jones ran a 4.9 forty at his pro day but he has been training with Tom Shaw maybe he can improve his speed.

I know it's taken out of context, but it is kind of amusimg to me.

"yes, we got the guy we wanted because he was too slow for everyone else!"

So disappointed right now... I knew it was coming but still not excited nonetheless. Last time I was excited with our first round pick was Pouncey.

We need to get away from this freakish obsession with LB and DE first round picks... Especially when we can't even start them. Worilds has been in the system what, 3 years now, and we got him in the second round... Are we just throwing him away now? Or throwing away our 1st round pick basically... way I see it.

Woodley slowed down a bit last year and I have no problem with having talent in the wings especially in the linebacker corp since it is so important for our defense but I don't think we should have used our first round pick on it. The guy had freaking spinal problems and with all the problems we have had with injuries it scares me.

We neglect our secondary year after year. We just lost Lewis and I don't think we know enough about Cortez Allen to feel comfortable there. Ike Taylor is getting up there and has been slowing down as well. These league is crazy with these big fast wide receivers that you can't touch and we need to be able to cover them... especially when we are going against the likes of A.J. Green and others.
