No other team in the NFL has done it....

    ... but it's been an awfully long time ago and some of yinz weren't even in your mother's womb yet;

Only time will tell, we still have the same HC, OC, DC. OLC.

I think it’s a better roster than last season, but more importantly, the personalities seem more balanced and everyone’s buying in. The negative energy was already rampant at this point last year, but this group actually seems happy to play together. I also think the defense is going to be really good. So yeah — I’m pretty optimistic this team can be good, or maybe even better.

If 1) Aaron is even 70% of the guy he used to be or 2) the Steelers bring in another top-tier receiver, I think we'll see a very different offense.

And some (few) posters still think the team should have kept the negative energy

"Why don't you knock it off with them negative waves?"

A couple of things, how do we know we are weaker at RB? We haven't seen the rookie run in a game yet.

Same comment for the WR group. We haven't seen what DK or Roman Wilson can do in this offense. I'll add Jonnu Smith who can be a very productive receiving option. I think they've significantly upgraded the receiving options. Pickens is a head case and Mr. Big Chest Jr. needed to go imo.

We still haven't seen Fautanu play in a game. I'm not sure how Broderick Jones will be at LT against the pass. I think the interior group is strong. Two 1st round picks invested on the outside hoping for the best.

I really disagree with the defensive assessment. Derrick Harmon will prove to be a great pick i think. Keanu Benton is young. I think old man Heyward can be serviceable, and of course I think TJ will be a stud as always.

OLB has Highsmith who's proven to be very serviceable, Herbig who is an excellent pass rusher, and now Jack Sawyer who has an incredible upside.

I love the ILB group in Wilson and Queen. I think both will be better this year. Not great depth here.

How Jalen Ramsey performs is a question marks. I don't think he's washed. I find it interesting the depth chart has him as a nickel back. Of course the depth chart doesn't mean much with Tomlin.

I'm optimistic this team overall will be better. I think the coaches have had some time to aquire players that will work in their scheme. I guess we will find out.

Of course, health is a big factor everywhere.

Kelley's Heroes. Any movie that had a cast with Clint Eastwood, Telly Savalas, Donald Sutherland, Don Rickles and Archie Bunker couldn't be anything but great.

Oddball had a hard time during filming

Sutherland almost died after contracting meningitis on set and going into a coma. He was out for 6 weeks.

While filming in Yugoslavia, Sutherland was informed by Eastwood that his wife had been arrested for trying to purchase hand grenades for the Black Panthers.
She tried to pay with a personal check.
