According to some guy named Ben, Rogers ankle should be healed and he should be better than he was last year last year. Rogers as compared to Fields and Wilson had seven more touchdowns and about 300 more yards last year. That equates to about 70 points. That ought to be worth two or three more wins.

    12-5

In a way, I'm predicting the opposite.
I think he will look like a HoF player, for the opener, week 2, and probably the week 6 game after the bye.
For the rest of the season, that he will look like Wilson during his slump.
If the Steelers play Rodgers every game, I think he will hit the wall early and have trouble getting back to his rested state.
(If they do something bizarre like play him in alternate games, or somehow get huge leads early so Mason can do reliever duty, then my prediction would change.)

When Dara Torres competed at the 2008 Olympics at the age of 41, she showed that older athletes can peak as well as younger athletes. (She was 0.01 seconds away from a gold in the sprint freestyle.) The limitations are that she had to scale back on how often she could give a maximum effort, and that it took much longer to recover from maximum efforts. Also, it helped that she was single-mindedly devoted to exercise and recovery, and had a spouse to accommodate her plans.

(Brady played well into his 40s, but he had several advantages that Rodgers does not.
He was single-mindedly focused on football and his health. He had a spouse that made more money than he did. He didn't have any late-age injuries that caused him to miss games. The refs and league rules protected him. And his strength was reading the defense, which wouldn't be as affected by declining physical skills.
Rodgers has those to a much more limited extent.)

Barring injury, and great OL play, play calling by our OC (If MT let's him) AR could
have a productive season. I am afraid we will see alot of check downs.

From what I've seen and heard, Rogers is in great shape and is well ahead of the other QB's.
The guy is going to the Hall of Fame, a really good season this year would lock that.
I don't think the Steelers can go to the Super Bowl, they just don't have the overall talent of KC's and Buffalo's... the planets would have to be aligned perfectly for them to do so.
But I think solid play is not out of the question. I don't anticipate him being on every snap... so the backups need to be ready also.

Hard to have expectations for a 42 year old. He could have a comeback year or he could get hurt and show that he shouldve retired last year.

i do expect Meyer to get the line in shape to protect Rodgers. We have the talent on the line and the Steelers are keeping Meyer around for a reason - so he must know what hes doing. I expect the o line to be a strength this year. That should help AR’s cause.

This is why Rodgers had 28 TD last year....The Jets were a pass happy team in the red zone, but yeah continue to ignored the context....

So what I get from this is Rodgers is much better than Fields/Wilson and our touchdown percentage inside the 10 should be much better

    Well I agree with you

You just made the Rodgers signing look like pure genius

Expect a low total of rushing TD by the steelers too if they pass at 70% of the time in the red zone but hey at least the fantasy stats of Rodgers(for the TD)will be good!

With Darnell Washington they dang well should be passing 70% of the time in the red zone

Apparently Rodgers can do what Fields can not
