I hear you, and we are talking most, but wasn't the Eagles a high rushing team, and a run stopping team???

 

He talk about the yards per pass attempts and thing like that,not the volume.The eagles were also elite against the pass with a great pass rush

 

2024 net passing efficiency:

PHI: 6.5 - 5.1 = +1.4
KC: 5.9 - 6.1 = -0.2

For the 2022 season the two Superbowl teams net passing efficiency:

PHI: 7.1 - 4.9 = +2.2
KC: 7.5 - 5.6 = +1.9

which ended up as one of the better Superbowls

But to your point, a team can't totally ignore rushing. After all it loosens up the defense for the pass. Some coach said something about being 'one dimensional' and all that.....

My Bengals fan neighbor told me last week that the Steelers are going all in for the Super Bowl this year. I told him 10-7 at best if you ask me. An over the hill QB and one real WR threat. A defense that ain’t getting any younger with a standard coach will not put us anywhere near the SB. JMO.

 

Only time will tell if we are better, but with 9 of 22 starters being new we are definitely a different team

 

Anything short of a playoff victory should mean that the HC should be sent packing via firing or a trade. It would show that rearranging deck chairs on the titanic is not the solution. There needs to be more accountability of the coaching staff when all they can muster is a winning record and nothing more.

 

This is about 5 years too late unfortunately.

The belief is that the offense can carry the team. Not signing Hendrickson yet is a big mistake. I’ve never put the Bungles in the same light that I do the Ravens in our division. Too many holes on defense, ST’s and coaching staff. The Browns may even worry me more.

 

I mean the Jacksonville game was the end looking back on it but they had a really good season up until that point. But certainly the Browns debacle should have ended any questions around it and yet still here we are.

 

Bengals getting a lot of love but that defense was horrid last year. Not sure if it’s any better now??
