I remember him now after reading he played for the Ravens, I didn't know he was still in the league.

A lot of Steelers fans wanted them to sign Justin Simmons, but I bet Clark is a lot cheaper.

    Why was he still available

Why do we want him if 30 other teams did not

Likely as dude is an insurance policy in case of injury or poor performance of Thornhill. He got $2M from the Jets last year and has been on IR at the end of the season for the last 2 years. I am guessing he is close to the vet minimum.

Seems to me to be more of a backup Strong "Box" safety, that can play near the line of scrimmage.
Out all iof 2023 with torn ACL.

    Last year in Baltimore 2022.
    Safety: 612
    OLB: 133
    Slot CB: 128
    ILB: 55
    Edge: 54
    Perimeter CB: 50
    IDL: 15

    A lot have a safety. That's why.

For example, The dolphins just got rid of their pickens drama player for one of the best safeties Fitzpatrick.

Agreed and he tackles harder. Everything else Simmons was better at.
