Christian Wilkins released by Raiders

After signing a 4 year 110 million dollar contract with Raiders last year they cut him today. He played 5 games in 2024 before hurting his foot and is still unable to play. The Raiders have to eat 59 million this year for releasing Wilkins.

Raiders are attempting to void $35 million of his guarantee. Claiming that Williams was not trying to rehab, and had given up and basically "Quit" his job with the Raiders.

Interesting concept. What does the guaranteed money say if the Employee Quits his job and refuses to come back to work?

 

This is why I love the Steelers, very rarely see bone headed decisions like Raiders have made the last 20 years.
And it is not just the Raiders, you can add multiple NFL teams to the list.

 

That totally sounds like a raiders story. Must be hell as a Raiders fan.
