He said he took his kid to grade school one day and when he walked in the other kids in disbelief yelled. “Is that your dad”

He was also a Pentecostal Minister

Jerry Jones is the problem for the cowboys...Jerry hires always yes man as head coach since 2007 and their culture is bad.The cowboys had the same problem in the Romo era

You put in your time and earned that SS check. 164 years in the work force is nothing to sneeze at.

Attitude AND effort. He has to be 100% on every play, not just the ones where he might get a pass. I am definitely in the camp that thinks the talent is there, but the mental game is not. He will have a successful career, but every 'immaculate reception' moment he has will be caveated with a comment about his issues. He won't get into the HOF without big changes in his mental game....IMO. Time will tell.

Agree. Dallas has kind of been like the Steelers in a way. Always 'there' with a shot at it. Team always has talent, but it falls short in the big spots. For the Cowboys, I am with you that the issue is Jerry Jones. As for our reason for being that boat, it is an entirely different thread. One that has been beaten over and over......lol

I can't put the steelers in the same category that the cowboys since Jerry Jones want too much attention with comment like this

Not the same category in culture or media posts........but the same in results.

Dallas Cowboys: The Cowboys have reached the playoffs multiple times since 2010. They have won 3 playoff games between 2010 and 2025. Notable playoff appearances include:

Pittsburgh Steelers: The Steelers have been more consistent playoff participants. They have won 5 playoff games between 2010 and 2025. Some of their playoff results in the last 15 seasons include:

AI generated results (above), but they look about right to me.

Steelers have 10 trips to the post season, Dallas has 6. All of Dallas's trips ended in the divisional rounds. The Steelers have 6 wild card losses, 2 divisional losses, 1 AFC championship loss and a SB loss. 6 wild card losses is really a sad stat.

I did say the Cowboys would be the Number One Seed in the NFC. However, I didnt say they would reach the NFC Title game.

He would've been WR2 this season, what have they done to replace him besides signing a washed-up Robert Woods?

Steelers fans like to complain about Art ll as owner but I will take him over Jerry Jones any day, at least Art stays out of the media spotlight unlike Jerry who never shuts up.

The Steelers basically replaced the Pickens with Jonnu Smith

    A cut and paste:

In a lot of ways, Smith will operate as Pittsburgh's WR No. 2 behind Metcalf. He's coming off a career year in which he posted 884 yards and eight touchdowns on 88 catches, and if anyone in the league knows how to use him, it's offensive coordinator Arthur Smith given their time together with the Tennessee Titans (2017 - 2019) and Atlanta Falcons (2023).

The Cowboys the #1 seed? No way, they probably finish 3rd in their division behind the Eagles and Redskins.

He is going to be WR2 on Dallas and I think that is going to be a great slot for him.

Last year he was the most talented player on offense for the Steelers and that was not a good look for a kid that has a lot of maturity issues. I know DK has his problems, but if George could have spent just one year running alongside of DK I think that would have been the best WR Duo the Steelers have had in over a decade!!!

Now Dallas gets one of the most talented WR in the NFL for a 3rd round pick and the Steelers are once again going to put Calvin Austin out there as WR2. Khan will once again have the Steelers be the laughingstock of the NFL as he chases his tail around trying and failing to bring in a legitimate WR. Boy, Oh Boy we signed Robert Woods. :)

You can quote me on this later; but George Pickens in Dallas will have a better year than DK in Pittsburgh.

LOL... OK you do know that this is Jonny Smith right??? Some Car guy on YouTube.
    upload_2025-7-21_21-52-12.png

And if you mean TE Jonnu Smith, nobody has ever mistaken George Pickens for a Tight End. Or Jonny Smith for that matter. :)

AND, BTW. I heard the same BS last year all through training camp about how Pat Freiermuth was going to become so much more involved in the offense running routes as a WR. Khans spin on having no clue about the Steelers needing a WR2, when he trades away the previous year's WR1.

What is funny, is you probably typed in Jonnu Smith, and then your spell check software changed it. :)

I hate that crap when it happens on my cell phone. I am like "That is not what I typed!!!"
