Well I guess I'll have a bit of interest in White Sox game tonight. Nephew has traveled 400 miles to see the team that his father and I forced on him. Poor kid was born in Philly sport land. Always asking why the kids at school were all Philadelphia fans. Just had his 50th and at the party reminded us the child abuse we forced upon him Hope to hell he sees a W. Falter I think.

 

Pirates play a team with a worse record than them tonight. Maybe we get a series sweep

I loved the Pirates. Went to a ton of games at Forbes Field and three rivers. What a great time to be alive! Busses would take you to the game wait until the game was over and take you home. You and I grew up in the best time ever

I remember getting a discount on coupons on Kahn's hot dog wrappers, like .50 or $1.00 off.
Doesn't sound like much but when box seats at Forbes were $3-$4 it was pretty good. Couldn't use them on scheduled Doubleheaders, or Sunday or holiday games if I remember.
Attended my first game on September 5th, 1966. Labor Day DH against the Atlanta Braves. There were 7 HOF'ers in the games between the 2 teams.
