if this season goes well, does anyone think there is a chance rodgers stays for another year? with this defense and hopefully an improving O-Line, run game and offense in general, do you think he would stay one more year after this?

Rodgers said this will more than likely be his last year, but if they make a deep run in the playoffs, I would think there's a good chance that he'll be back for another year.

Seriously. The dude is about to be 42 if he is in one piece by the conclusion of this season I’ll be impressed.

At best I'd give it 50-50 odds that we'd even want him back next year.

    65 percent season goes well.
You will be happy and entertained, and some will be mad at the end.
It's a business that is basically studio wrestling. .

I think he's kinda nuts for playing behind this O line. The success of this season all hinges on the performance of Broderick Jones, Troy Fautanu and rookie RB Caleb Johnson. If those 3 perform better than average.... Steelers are gonna have a good season.

I’m down as a definite maybe

Based on how the year goes

Even if we draft a QB next year you don’t necessarily want to just throw him in there so someone has to start for a while

I don't know man. Since he left GB, he has only cheapened his legacy, IMO. IF he and the steelers do well, he will be beating the odds for sure. And, if that happens (which we all should want), I would think he'd want to close out his career on a high note rather than risk further degrading his legacy. What does he have to gain? He would need 3 more seasons to tie Brady, if that was even a goal for him.

with the injury he had and the length it takes to rehab that injury, it probably wasn't fun. at his age he probably wasn't fully back in his last year with the jets. for a younger guy it could be up to 18 months before fully healed. he probably is now. his job has to be fun to play this game. those two years probably were not. i think that could change with the team around him here. a lot of potential on this team. a nice mix of vets around him. some age. like bens final years when he was saying how young these guys were and he didn't relate very well with them. rodgers has a few guys that are not quite his age but a lot closer. it could be a difference maker. i don't think it's a money thing for him. maybe the love of the game with some guys that can relate to each other may be the reason IF it would happen. JMO.

I give it a very slight chance. I feel like he's already partially retired. He just got married, and even went so far as to say this was his last year. I just really hope he doesn't 'Favre' his retirement, keep everyone waiting for his decision.

At his age, only if they make it the SB, and if he sees that SB core developing to make it back.
