Im sure this link will be blocked unless you go to YouTube and watch it but I highly recommend watching it if you weren't alive when it was played or old enough to care yet.

It is a great example of the Standard. Just watch the first two series to see just what has been lacking lately.

1st defensive series Kirkland demonstrates tracking the ball carrier and exploding in to the hole to hit him. None of this run up to the line and get blocked.

1st offensive series watch Bettis completely stun the edge rusher and Jackson looks at Bettis determines he had his guy and didn't need help. Jackson stands his ground with his head on a swivel so if Bettis needs help or Wolford does he is ready to help and doesn't create a huge hole just to help on a dbl team.

This was also a great game for Chad Brown and was where he got on a lot of teams radar.

    Awesome game.

It's worthwhile just to watch Woodson perform a tackle by blocking Harrison backwards into the running back.

No thanks...I avoid watching the final play of that game at all costs. Barely survived it at my age the first time around.

You're thinking of the 95 AFCCG vs the Colts with Harbaugh's last second Hail Mary. This was the following year.

You are thinking of the 1995 AFCC. Completely different game.

That 1995 game might be the most nervous I have ever been watching a Steelers game.

It's OK the 94 and 95 games were almost heart attack inducing for me as well and I was in my 20's.

Thanks for mentioning 94. Now I will have visions of Alfred Pupunu running through my head all day. :lolol: I still get mad just thinking about it.

I was about to have a stroke when Jets were kicking a field goal to win the game in divisonal round of 2004 season... when Ben was a rookie. I think I sh!t my pants. Steelers won, so there was a happy ending. Likewise when Bettis fumbled vs Indy a year later.

Nostalgic as a 15 year old kid reading in the paper we traded a couple picks for Jerome Bettis. I was super excited at the time and the dude did not disappoint.

They'd pretty much run against 9 people in the box and they'd run anyways. Bettis was in his prime and would run over people trucking. Then add the slash element.

While Kordell was no Ben, he was an exciting player to watch.

My favorite part of the game was Chad Brown trucking Jim Harbaugh. Any day that a Harbaugh gets slammed to the ground is a good day.

I turned 21 that day. I had a few beers during the game. I thought they lost the game. I stood up screaming, and doing some Tazmanian Devil tornado move. My uncle is screaming "Wait! Wait!" When we realized they won, I ran out the door and dove face first into the snow off a 5 ft high porch. :lolol:
