5 million in NFL is nothing compared to the NHL. The cap is 3X as much. 5 million in the NHL buys a quality role player. 5 million in the NFL buys a back up.

This is a good deal. 3 years is amazing (and the right call) TJ gets the money and the guarantees, we get the term. Win-win

Remember how ridiculous everyone found it when the Yank's signed ARod for $25 million a year?

some players like the baseball like Soto and Ohtani have a 700 millions contract.SGA in the NBA will have 70 millions per year for several years....Watt will not be the highest paid non QB player for very long. The one in Detroit and Dallas will surpass him soon....

I still find it ridiculous that athletes make so much money for playing a game. My son and I went to MLB game last month. One 16oz fountain soda pop was $9. Have fun taking a family of four to any major sports game. Probably looking at a $600 day easily after all is said and done. Oh well. Idiots are willing to pay $2,500 for one TS concert to watch her for 2 1/2 hours. I used to see concerts all the time. Now it is about every other year when I used to see 20+ or more. Watt is great but nobody is really worth all that money. Especially when he disappears at the end of every season. Rant over.:ninja:

I wouldn't expect it to be a big name WR2, they need to sign another safety after trading Minkah.

Thank God now let's end this BS trade him crap and go back to over analyzing Fields and Wilson's falling off a cliff.

I can count on one hand the amount of players on both sides of the ball that actually showed up in our last few playoff games...
    Stop just hating on Watt

Good for Watt on becoming the highest paid non-QB, but it won't last long because Micah Parsons new deal will likely be for more money.

The only way he can be more productive is to move him all along the DL. He should not be playing 95% of his snaps on the left side. He is being double and tripled teamed too much anymore over there.

take a page out of Clevelands playbook Austin. Have TJ stunt to the inside on pass rushes sometimes. They have not been helping him out at all - just leaving it all up to his strength and athleticism to reach the Qb
