True and it was one more reason to have a complete overhaul for this defense,instead they hire someone who was in the staff.Same for Austin

 

I don't think it was. They drafted, and brought in terrible players and then when they didn't have the horses anymore, they blamed Lebeau. I will always love that Dude.

 

at the same time,Cam Heyward had waited until after the 0-4 start in the 2013 season to be a full time starter....

If you really want to break it down we have had 1 quality playoff win in the last 14 years. Bengals went full thuggery to hand us that game on player misconduct penalties. We beat Matt Moore and the Dolphins who were probably the worst playoff team in NFL history. The win at KC although vs a weaker QB in Alex Smith was still a good win on the road vs a great coach. You could honestly say MT has had one good playoff win in 14 years!!

 

I started threads on here saying it was time to move on from LeBeau.

 

That's just dumb when people say you only beat Matt Moore the backup like the Steelers are supposed to apologize for beating a backup QB. Backup QBs have won the Super Bowl more than once. The Steelers were going to beat Miami that day whether their starting QB played or not.

 

Butler wasn't total trash he was the best in the league at pressure packages, he struggled with his coverage schemes.

 

It was my biggest problem with Butler....Too many blown coverage and lack of communication.Too often,the steelers had like only 9-10 guys on the field on defense

 

I’m not saying they should apologize I’m saying if you look at it critically that was an incredibly weak wild card team.

 

Especially covering slot WRs with linebackers 5 yards behind them!

 

I forget that one!!!

It drive me crazy during that time!...We all remember the game when Keenan Allen was on a slow ILB on a crucial 3rd down,too often T.J Watt was also on coverage on a bad matchup against a receiver...It was crazy bad

No wonder the steelers gave up 35 points or more in a playoffs game under Butler almost every time when it was not a backup QB!

 

Even STD could make those throws. Because we all know he certainly wouldn’t run.

 

If the Steelers beat a team with a backup QB in the Super Bowl, I wouldn't care a win is a win .

 

Not arguing that my friend. Let’s hope we see another one in our lifetime.

 

He needed to. He was getting shoved around in the running game every time we seen him play. Just because he became good , doesn't mean he always was.

 

Ok then let's look at things critically.
The great Bill Belichick, and Tom Brady should be known a stupid losing to a HCs that has already been fired, and a backup Qb.
Sounds dumb doesn't it. That's why You can't do this.

 

When people say stuff like this, I know for a fact they know nothing about football.
I can show where we do it to other teams, and where other teams do it to us. I point it out all the time in the game day thread, but it doesn't fit people's agenda. All teams have this done to them, and all teams do it to other teams.

 

I run everyday. Two forward, and 2 backwards. I have since I was about 14 years old.

Maybe it can happen with some bad defense in the NFL but a ILB one on one against Keenan Allen in the most important play of the game?
