Truth hurts but some folks are too ignorant or pig headed to acknowledge it. But hey, ignorance is bliss.

I mean, what didn't we know about this?

The only ones worth a damn were the RB and WR coaches. Honorable mention to the DB coach, but we really didn't see much development from them.

Hell I'd be reinventing the wheel on the strength and conditioning coach as well. Too many injuries related to not having

Perhaps the Rooneys are so cheap with coordinators that the decent ones are unavailable and we scrape the bottom of who is left.

Clark has been more and more critical of Tomlin. He’s not wrong here.

You mean the Ryan Clark who's best years were under M. Tomlin??? You mean that guy ??? The guy that got better after He was coached by Tomlin, not on the two teams before, or the teams after he left....that guy???
Its simply amazing what a coach that can't develop anyone could do for Ryan Clark. Amazing.
Oh yeah add Ryan Clark to my list of players when people say Tomlin can't develop, or coach players.

Canada was a bad coordinator hire. Who are the other bad coordinator hires?

I know opinions will vary so let's set a standard for the question. Who are the coordinators hired by Tomlin that were not hired again as a coordinator once they left the Steelers because of how bad they actually are/were?

They had often bad hire at the offensive line coach and other position too.Butler and Austin were also bad hire at the DC position. They were very good position coach but not as DC

I'm by no means a Tomlin defender, but Ryan Clark seems to have a big grudge against Tomlin. It's not like this is the first time he's been very negative about the Steelers since he played in Pittsburgh.

But that's the beauty of it. Pointing out again that Bags Tomlin likes yes men to micromanage instead of top flight innovative thinkers because he is insecure and lives in his fears. Why? Mindless really. As a manager you want the best who are a bit better or on the same level as you.

Rah Rah Bags. Going to be same as it ever was and behind him is his cheerleader gummy worm Art II living in his means...

I wasn't aware that Arthur Smith is a yes man, he could've gotten a job elsewhere but he wanted to work for a good franchise like the Steelers.

He’s a huge Tomlin fan, loves him but his job is to analyze things as he sees them. Doesn’t mean all his takes are right but he’s not doing this because he has an ax to grind.

There are two reasons for this. 1. Clark wants and needs clicks to remain relevant in the media world. 2. As a former Steeler, he probably wants to see playoff wins.

I know he was Ben's buddy, but Fichtner wasn't up to the Gailey, Whisenhunt, Ariens, Haley standard.

I don't think Butler was a bad DC hire. The secondary was bad but the front 7 was very strong typically with Butler.

This will be Austin's 4th season as DC. I think it's still too early to call him good or bad. Lots of personnel changes makes it tough to tell.

Danny Smith suddenly became a decent to good ST coordinator?

They struggle often against the run under Butler too...They had the worse rushing defense in the NFL in 2021.And 3 years in the NFL is not too early to call a coach if he is good or not

In that case, I would say Austin is a good coordinator.

Butler had Wormley, Buggs, Bush, and Schobert defending the middle of the field in 2021. Alualu was only in 2 games that year. Adams started 4. Buggs started 6. Cam had to finish that season as NT/DT. That was the season when Tuitt retired. Yes, we were weak vs the run that season. But hardly because of coaching.
    Stats NERD!!!! :goofy:
