Looks like negotiations hit a snag with Harrison and the Bungles he's probably asking for too much money. I don't see where he has other options he should've took the pay cut with the Steelers a busted up 35 year old OLB acting like 4.5 million is beneath him, screw him idiot.

I don't think there's any danger of JH being nominated for admission into the Mensa Society anytime soon.

He doesn't have many options at all. Teams are already past the free agency stage and are looking towards the draft. Most teams aren't interested in adding a free agent at this point, let alone an injured, old, broken down LB who is demanding way too much money. I don't know if he's the stupid one or if his agent is leading him astray, but he's going to end up never playing again because he's asking for too much money. Once he sits out for long enough, teams won't be interested in him for any price.

Any team that suffers an injury and needs a LB will call him, don't kid yourself. We called Plax 10 weeks into the season.

If Harrison doesn't play at all this season, I doubt he ever plays again. Teams just won't call him and even if they do, what will he have to offer? He plays a very hard nose style which is tough on the body. He's getting up there in age too to the point where if he goes a year without playing and without daily practices, he's going to lose significant strength and speed. Working out in the gym isn't the same as being out on that field. He'll lose too much to father time and I doubt he'll ever play again.

I don't know if he would or he wouldn't but like I said, Plax is 35 and sat out most of the yeat and we still called him. If a team gets into trouble at LB like we did at receiver last year, I bet he gets a call.

Different situation altogether. Plax hasn't had 2 years of injury problems, plus he wasn't completely ineffective last time he did play. Not to mention that with his style of play, losing some speed or strength wont' end his career the same way it will a pass rusher like Harrison. Plax doesn't rely on speed whatsoever so he doesn't have to worry about father time nearly as much as a pass rusher like Harrison.

No but he was out of football for 3 years before landing with the Jets, played 1 season and then sat out again, a lot of non football action, a lot worse in my eye's then James situation. All anyone has to do is watch film and see that JH was getting better and better towards the end of the season.

If James Harrison is not in an NFL training camp, I will be surprised. And if he's not, some LB will blow a knee in preseason, and on opening day JH will be somebody's roster

He may have been getting better and better, but with the type of player he is in the 3-4, he's only useful to a limited number of teams to begin with. A lot of teams simply wouldn't be a good fit for him. That alone reduces his value. Then the constant injuries, his age plus his playing style, that will reduce his value further. I think he has some value for sure and may still have another year left in him, but I think if he sits out too long hoping for a big pay day, he's going to find himself out of football for good.

It happens to players all the time, even once great players. Miss too much time and reach a certain age and teams forget you exist

Only if he's willing to accept less money. Everything I've heard says he's still asking for way too much

It's April, come July $1.5MM/yr will look pretty good compared to "do you want fries with that"

I think his phone will be ringing once a LB suffers a season-ending injury in camp or pre-season.

It will. Even if it got late into the season which I don't believe it will, but even if it did, his phone would still ring, a rusty JH is still far better then the guy packing groceries.

Personally, I think JH's style of play is more versatile than some might imagine. He is just too athletic to not fit into another scheme, but, that is just my opinion, which is always right when it isn't wrong.

FO always knows what they are doing. I cant think of one player they let go that went on to do better things .

Always have confidence in them and always will

Considering the source is Carlos Dunlap, it doesn't hold much credibility. As a recruit in high school he was nothing short of a drama queen. He strung South Carolina along in the final days as if he was signing, then borderline blindsided them by committing to Florida. I don't have much respect for the kid, nothing but a crap stirrer!

So much for the revenge factor, others had it pegged, staying close to home. He's right on the money though, wish him best except when he plays us.

Thanks for the link to that...
I will ALWAYS appreciate #92 for his honesty!
If he was pissed at us, I`m pretty sure he would be glad to take it to the press.
We`re talkin about a guy who said he wouldn`t piss on the commish to put him out, if he was on fire...
Do ya think he just all of a sudden got "Politically correct"???
No, He knows the reality of the situation, and will play all out balls to the wall to beat us, when we play against him, but there`s nuthin personal about it!
Fairly sure there was nothing "personal", about anyone he knocked out, while playing for us, either...
He is just a bad-ass, old school linebacker, who believes his job is to hurt, not "injure", opponents, who try to come across his piece of the turf..on Sundays...
Don`t expect any more, or less of him, when we play against him.
He will give his all, no matter who the "enemy" is.. That`s a big part of why I`m gonna miss him.
    GO STEELERS!
