Ugh. Sewerinski is back. If he wants to play baseball, this would be a good time to learn how to hit. Last shot before DFA? No point in him going back to Indianapolis.
On paper, the Pirates had a good outfield of Sewerinski, Cruz, and Reynolds. In real life that did not pan out.

 

Would you like to re-think this Feel better the last 6 games we did just as good as your hated Dodgers. How they can lose 6 straight I don't understand.

 

I was thinking along similar lines - at least the cellar dweller Bucs haven't lost any distance on the World Champion Dodgers the last 7 days.

 

Paul Skenes goes to 4-8 and the money teams know that is meaningless since Paul pitches for a crap team. I sure hope they trade him. I'd hate for him to endure another Pirate losing season.

 

Looks like they may finally lose some ground on the WS Champs today. They matched them for 7 games - gotta give them credit for that. The Emperors new pitching staff is finally showing some threadbare. Can't wait for the 2nd half.

The 2025 Pirates are so bad that I will pay them no more mind until they make some trades. Fortunately the Steelers training camp opens soon. The Pirates can then suck as much as they please.

Unbelievable!! In an organization overflowing with pitching talent, and as empty of offensive players as a nun's home nursery is of babies, the Imbecile GM, Cherrington, adds not one, but 2 high school pitchers!!

Neither of these guys, regardless of their talent, will be pitching in the big leagues for at least 2-3 years, possibly longer.
First steps in another rebuild? Coincidentally, that will be about the time that Skenes will be either a free agent, or in the most expensive years of arbitration and on his way to the Hall of Fame as a member of another organization.

Cherrington should have been fired before he walked into the draft room with this approach. This organization is totally f****d. They do not trade for players who are impactful because they refuse to pay the salaries, they do not attract free agents because of their frugality, losing history and how they treat players (Rowdy Tellez being the most glaring example), and their total disregard of their franchise.

I really believe Nuttings long term strategy is to move the team after the lease runs out. Nashville or Charlotte will be the next suckers on the list to pony up a publicly funded new stadium and roll out the red carpet for this scheming, s**t-sucking carpetbagger who will continue to run the team into the ground there.

No doubt about that but....if they can repeat the last 2 weeks for the rest of this season rolleyes where in spite of the 8 game slide they only dropped 1 game further under .500 (currently at 39-58), they would project to drop only 5 games further under .500 (65 games left) for a final record of 69-93. Isn't life great and relaxing when you can lie and distort reality with statistics? How many 6 game winning streaks might they repeat this year, or next or the next? ZERO!

 

I'm in a season prediction poll on a Pirate board and so many had us over .500. Only 3 guys had us in the 60's win total so it's their race. I was 78.

 

I'm betting Cruz gets three homeruns
