Someone had to post it here, slow news day!

I don’t think talent was ever his problem, it was work ethic and maturity. I can’t see the Steelers rolling the dice on him though.

He would have to show a small mountain of maturity/growth and accept the vet minimum. Then maybe

    What a waste of skin

He is a great athlete and was in tremendous condition

But what the lord giveth the lord taketh away

    He’s dumber than my dogs

    Well most of them

What would we have to lose giving him vet minimum?

One year prove it deal? I'd do it. Bring into camp on minimal guarantees and if he doesn't make the cut, release him.

    You are probably right.

I remember when Kyle Pitts came out and was a top 5 draft pick at #4, and I asked what is the difference between Claypool and Pitts. Same size and Speed.

His second year Claypool seemed to always be catching passes on the ground, and not using his size and speed to get those YAC stats.

Last year in the offseason Claypool was seen working out with Justin Fields, and so I started throwing his name around as a possible free agent. My money says Claypool signs with the JETS, to hook backup with his buddy Justin Fields.

I just remember Claypool jumping off his feet every time he tried to catch a football, even when when he didn't need to. He was definitely a physical specimen, but I don't think he had good technique or football instincts. I don't think any team in the NFL will give him another chance, especially not the Steelers.

No way Fields want to have Claypool in the same team that him....I mean Claypool was a complete dumpster fire with the bears,he did not win a single game....Fields was much better when Claypool was not on the same team that him

My money says Claypool signs with anyone who'd take him.

That's what I'm saying, but some dumb team like the Browns might give him another chance (as you suggested).

I don't think the Browns signing DJ is that bad. I'd take him over Claypool any day.

They do need a lot of WRs since they have 17 QBs.
