It was more than a few. Roethilisberger was a selfish, immature jackass who sometimes threw teammates under the bus, but he took blame far more than you give him credit for doing.

I love Bradshaw, too, but he sounds like a child when he talks about Noll.

Ben's admissions of fault always seemed as passive aggressive as his other statements to the media. Throws 4 interceptions, defense creates turnovers, the line holds long enough for him to overcome his mistakes and he says things like obviously when I throw 4 picks its not the way we want to play a game, thankfully the defense balled out and my OLine was able to save my backside because we all know I hold onto the ball too long.

He was always trying to be cute with the media. Just say it's hard to win when you turn the ball over four times and you have to do better end of story. Sometimes some of his best wins were because of his own mistakes making them necessary.

Yep, Bradshaw was a little nut case his 1st 2 or 3 years. Beside being immature he also had girlfriend and wife issues which also played in his head. I remember thinking every time he split up with his girlfriend or wife he had horrible games after. In the long run he became the best in big games.

Would you like to put money on this???
I can think of about 7 games right off the top of my head I heard Ben take full blame, and can show the clips. You forget. His whole career is on the internet.
Of course Ben never had a two year slump of 16 td 49 ints, so he didn't have as much to say he was sorry for. LoL

those 16 TD’s and 49 ints weren't a slump. Those were growing pains in Terry’s first two years. Ben might have had more potential than Terry but he didnt study film like Terry did

Bradshaw would not be HOF without Noll and playing for the Steelers.

He was VERY lucky we drafted him and were patient with him.

If he was drafted by some other team, I bet he would have had a tough time being successful. Maybe he would have bounced around from team to team before he matured and maybe never won a Super Bowl.

He also didn't have 10 HOFers surrounding him, no free agency, and a HC like Noll .

    :hmm:

Are we really gonna compare Big Ben vs Bradshaw yet again?!

Moreover to the point, Bradshaw needs to accept that Chuck Noll was never a Players Coach and therefore never going to coddle him as a whole. The bigger question I have is that why does Terry care so much that Mike Tomlin is?!?!? :hmm: Is Terry projecting some sort of jealousy towards Big Ben still because Big Ben got the sort of Coach Terry always wanted?! Is it something else?!

To quote the late great Andy Russell about how Chuck Noll coached:

"I am not ever going to give you a motivational speech. If I have to motivate you, I will fire you."

Whether that was liked or not is irrelavent. In a results based league, results are necessary. Terry gave Chuck Noll results and both ended up benefitting from it. The end.

I loved TB as a QB, but he definitely has some issues with thinking people don't like him. Terry said this stuff about Noll not liking him, and he also said this about Ben:

Our relationship is not any good,” Bradshaw said of Roethlisberger, in video available at ESPN.com. “When I told him to park the motorcycle, he got pissed. Then he had the accident, and since then he doesn’t like me, and I’m learning not to like him.”

There seems to be a pattern here.
