Former Bengals WR Tyler Boyd expresses interest in the Steelers

He's another WR on the wrong side of 30, he also used to run his mouth about the Steelers when he was on the Bengals.

 

I don't care if He talked $hit , or not, but can he still play, at least for a season???

 

He is likely washed at this point,big reason why he is still a free agent....

 

They don't need another WR over 30 after signing Robert Woods, especially a slot WR like Boyd.

 

Kendrick Bourne is my preference

 

Kile Pitts could give us something different , i don't know how much he will cost

Again, can he still play well, I could careless how old a person is, if they can still play well. I don't know if He still can.

 

39 catches for 390 yards and 0 TDs last season you tell me , they need help at outside WR.

There's a reason why nobody else signed him.

 

The players/team obviously care. I think there was interest last time he was a FA from the Steelers, but the players told the FO that he would be "unwelcome" on the team. He certainly isn't good enough at this stage of his career to be worth that type of move.

He’s old and can’t play well

If you straight line his yardage over the last 3 years that puts him at about 220 yards

It had to years cause I'd remember seeing that odd avatar.

 

He does have a 75% catch rate.
He also had one of the highest redzone catch totals.
This being in Tennessee and passing provided by Will Levis and Mason Rudolph.

But on the other hand, they drafted Cam Ward and one would think they would want to provide him pass catchers.
So it is not a ringing endorsement.
Add in he's on the wrong side of 30 as previously mentioned.

A 1-Year deal on a prove it in camp thing might be ok but I think if I had my rathers, I'd being in Cooper who's probably a better influencer and a better pass catcher.
Still, I think there's a WR or two that will lose his job or become a victim of numbers...
