I don't remember ever claiming the Steelers beat the Patriots in the playoffs .

 

Yeah, the Patriots smoked the Steelers 28-3 in the 1996 playoffs. I guess Cowher didn't have his team ready to play, or they were playing down to the competition .

He'll never admit it, but I bet that's what really fueled his ire for playing the Steelers from then on.

 

After this loss Donahoe told the media he thought the team looked flat, and that really pissed Cowher off.

 

He never dropped it. Both hands were on the ball the entire time. His left hand was under the ball, so there's no clear video footage of the ball even touching the ground.

 

So Cowher didn't have Kordell coached up??....., or was it because He just sucked that day???

 

Cowher had him at the wrong position, he should have been at WR.

 

The rule was always once you make the catch and cross the goal line it is a TD. He could drop it, spike it or kick it up in the stands it doesn't matter. As long as he secured the catch, which he did, and crossed the goal line, which he did, it was a TD.

 

Why strive to be the best, or at least better? At least the Steelers haven’t had many losing seasons? Really? Mediocrity is good enough? SMH.

I just love them Stillers. It sucks getting bounced in the WC yearly rn but I would be devastated if I knew by week 2 that they were done every year like the Browns. Colbert did a poor job putting an OL together for 2020-2022 - I’m interested in Khan’s plan, it’s very Eagles like. Build the trenches, win there and grab a known asset in Metcalf (similar to AJ Brown) and building a strong community of backs.. I’d definitely give Tomlin his share of the blame for the drafts 2013-2022 but the 180 in approach shows a willingness to adapt ‍♂️ We’ll see, all I can do is watch lmao

Super Bowl wins used to be the only measuring stick for success in Pittsburgh. Nothing less was acceptable. Now, it appears the front office is content with selling out the stadium while the team goes 10-7 & gets blown out in the WC round.

I would not be against the team stinking up the joint for a few years if it meant they were legit SB contenders by 2028.
