Couple TV shows some may enjoy

Safe another Harlen Coben book made into a series. I like Michael Hall in it. Had trouble at first since all I saw was Dexter when I looked at him.

 

I am curious to see what HBO does with Harry Potter. They have huge plans for all 7 seasons, but the only thing that really works for HBO TV series, is Sex, Violence, and Nudity; along with 100 F'bombs every episode.

Unless this is Harry Potter the College years, is a PG friendly made for Kid TV series really going to work on HBO?

Don't get me wrong, I am a huge Harry Potter fan, so I will be there from the beginning, but I just can't imagine this series working out on HBO.

 

Yeah, my wife and I both said the same thing about Dexter. It's hard to imagine him as anyone else. We just finished episode 5 last night, and there have definitely been a few times where he just makes a certain facial expression, and I'm like, "that's totally Dexter." But this has been a pretty good show overall.

 

Tomatometer and me have a huge disagreement on the rankings. I've had HBO since its inception and my top 20 are very different then theirs. My favs start at 30.

HBO does have a family channel where Harry Potter would end up.

 

We just started Your Friends & Neighbors on Apple TV.

It's....OK so far? It was enough to keep our interest for the fist two episodes, but after we watched those first 2, we both agreed it was a little underwhelming. Almost like they're trying to make something similar to Breaking Bad, but much lighter and less intense. We'll probably watch more, but I hope it picks up and gets a little more interesting.

 

I just finished all the seasons of Malcom in the Middle during my time away. Yeah I know it's old, but I wasn't doing much TV watching during that time. I actually loved it.

You went through a sitcom during your time away. It was a bit different sitcom for the time period.

 

I Loved it from beginning to the end.

 

The Bear is back

 

My wife and I just binged all 5 seasons of Hell on Wheels. I'd never heard of it until recently. I liked it a lot. We need more Cullen Bohannons in the world!

 

I dug the Swede.

Just finished the last season of SurrealEstate. It's a cheesy show, but I enjoy it. Especially the character August Ripley.

 

Also I'm still waiting on the new season of Spartacus that's coming.
I can't figure out how the character they are showing is alive.

 

What about the first season of True detective

 

I haven't gotten to that yet, but I will.
It's hard because there are so many freaking shows I dvr, and I'm trying to catch up on.
I only have like 6% left on my dvr right now.

For those so inclined, final 6 episodes of Squid Games available today on Netflix. Apparently there may be a hint at the end of a spin off series in the future (no spoilers).

 

I don't even know what that is.

 

LoL . I will get to it eventually. I'm also trying to finish the Highlander series.

 

Perhaps, Calimari Games might ring a bell? JK. Let's just say it's where Purge meets a reality game show (in Korea).
