    This is a really good post. I also think he will make the HOF even though I personally believe he is a complete fraud that was at the right place at the right time early in his career. All that being said he is a standup citizen and seemingly good man I just think he is an extremely overrated coach.

    Seifert made it to the NFCCG as the Carolina HC, he was a much better HC than Switzer who flamed out quickly.

    Uhmmmmmm....maybe because they had losing seasons. I know people don't like to admit it, but winning seasons do count for your bid to the HOF

    You’re delving into your bash Tomlin spiel :lolol:

    I’m just stating that the things he has accomplished will be enough to get him in. Voters arent going to care if Tomlin can develop QB’s or not but they will acknowledge that he continued to reach the playoffs while never being under .500 even after losing Ben. Look what happened to Belichick after Brady left, Tomlin still keeps this team winning without Ben.

    His lack of playoff success once reaching them will certainly be a mark against him but I don’t think it will keep him from getting in. Especially if he starts improving on that in whatever time he has left as HC.

    he was supposed to go 11-5 or 12-4 at the height of Ben’s career. And we’ve been squeaking by with 9-8 and 10-7 records since Ben retired. Our playoff success or lack thereof speaks for itself. Butvyeah, i guess when you put it that way (non losing) seasons, its enough to get in. But i would trade those non losing seasons for just a couple more AFCCG or Super bowl appearances

    He was a much better head coach that Switzer but it was Dom Capers who was the head coach of the panthers in 1996...The 2001 season cost Seifert the hall of fame
