  1. Yes. It's an upgrade over Mason.

  2. No. Mason wouldn't have been much different

I never said that it didn't count. I'm saying that it wasn't evidence of improvement. It was the Steelers forcing him to play more conservatively. The primary flaws in his game remained. He still needs his first read to be open to be successful. He still can't throw with touch. He still has trouble with fumbles. He still takes stupid sacks.

Fields is kind of like KP, granted with more raw talent. He just needed time.

No matter how you slice it you still miss the point entirely. With one option we may have found a qb. The other option leaves us in the exact same position next year.

Just a hunch but I think they knew Rodgers was coming here and Pickens and him wouldn’t have been a good fit. Rodgers is hard on his WR, if they screw up he is going to let them know.

In one preseason game the Jets rookie TE, Kuntz I think it was, scored his first official NFL TD late in the game and was being congratulated by everyone for it even Rodgers but then he had to make sure to let everyone know he ran the wrong route and got a TD for it. Im all for keeping the rookies and young guys grounded but that was pretty petty.

I think the best thing I heard was from Randall Cobb who straight up told all the receivers to work on their craft, if you work and can show Rodgers you can get open he will find you, if he finds you it means he is comfortable with you and throw you the ball. If he isn't comfortable with you he will never throw it to you. Hopefully the Steelers wr Corp listens to that.

He was playing for a HC he didn't really respect.

Do you think Brady wouldn't have said the same thing?
Two HOF QBs are demanding of their receivers. Go figure.

Improved footwork and mechanics, too. We’ll see if leads to anything with the Jets.

To be fair there were a few times in that years Hard Knocks where you could tell when Saleh was saying the defense is there we need to fix the offense, or the defense invited the offense to come along and get right, that they panned the camera on Rodgers and his face was not one of happiness or agreement.

The jets are pretty much a dumpster fire. Not so sure that’s the best barometer. Honestly, I couldn’t care less how he does with the jets. He isn’t playing for us so his success or failure means nothing.

And the time when Rodgers came to the sideline during a game Saleh tried to celebrate with Rodgers pushed him away.

And most bad Qbs can say the same.....multiple OCs.....it the teams way of trying to make something work with the Qb they spend a 1st round on.

Yeah, I don't think Rodgers will be doing that to Tomlin.
