Are the Steelers a better team than last year?

Wilson should be retired I think Pickens will be better and Fields could be better not sure the point.

 

And what does that have to do anything ?

 

Or they don't have a franchise QB, but they still don't bottom out.

 

I don't think they will have the same slide at the end of the season like last year.

 

The schedule isn't quite as brutal, but it's not that far off with the Bills, the Lions, and two against the Ravens among the final four games.

 

At least they won't have to play that stupid three games in eleven days against top 5 teams.

 

The point is ....if all our coaches suck , then shouldn't the players that leave all do better???

Well I’m not talking about veteran guys who stop here for 1 year. They suck worse at drafting and developing quite honestly.

 

Doesn't matter....coaching is coaching. You can't pick ,and choose. If the coaching sucks then players that come here should be worse when here, and better when they aren't. It's pretty simple.

 

0 playoff wins in 8 years. 9 after this season. Elite coaching I tell you! We could not win a playoff game for a century and you would back this clown. Waste of time with you.

The overall talent is better. I like the additions more than the subtractions and growth from young players will happen. This could be a really good team.

I see three issues, outside of staying healthy, which is true for all teams.

1. They are still light at WR and especially CB. I really don't get their fascination with going light at CB most years. Such an important spot and they rarely address it properly. I'd certainly have given Alexander $5M.

2. The young OL needs to play like they are worth the huge investments they are. I believe they can and will but am concerned about the moron coaching them.

3. Tomlin is a great leader but poor at scheming. I like Smith and he'll be fine if allowed to do his thing with Aaron. Defensively though, they're at a serious disadvantage with the constant poor design. If Art had any brains at all (and he doesn't but), he'd strip Tomlin of all X and O work and fire Austin.

 

Why move the goal post???
Not every game that we lost in the playoffs is because of coaching.....even the worst hater will admit this.
Nobody is naysaying the playoff losses, but You are not only lying to me, but yourself if you don't think it shows that....
If the coaches are terrible than the players that come here should be worse when here, and better when not , you know this , this is a very simple thing , but it doesn't fit your agenda , or argument.

No you didn't. You made excuses of why they might not, and then made an answer that had nothing to do with what I asked. Also I notice a few people on here like to say things , then act like someone else said them. For example last year: Those same people kept asking me where the elite Defense was.....yet I never once called them elite, but by them using that word, they try putting words in my mouth, and then making lies , and saying I said them, yet not once could anyone of them find where I said that. Like Your so call answer of elite coaching, when did I ever say it was elite????
I said.....if it sucks then all of our players that left should be better than when they were here, and everyone we got should be worse. I can't for the life of me find where I said anything about being elite.

We certainly did Fields no favors with our handling of him though. You realize other teams also have **** coaching like ours right?

 

Look at how Kevin Dotson was with a great offensive coach with the rams!

 

How nice would it be to have a young innovative offensive mind running the program. Instead we get this archaic win 10-7 with defense BS. Especially when your defense isn’t even close to good enough for that strategy!
