I think they have had enough quarterback drama for one offseason.

 

Like I said, the Steelers did a good job selling a story and quite a few folks here were suckered into believing it!

 

After losing Lake in '98 off-season to Jags....Steelers D became mediocre. They were able to weather the loss of Woodson and Chad Brown in '97....but Steelers couldn't match what Jags, Titans, etc were dishing out with contracts in '98-'99. Steelers desperately needed a new stadium and got it in '01.

 

The Browns only gave Philly a 5th rnder and QB DTR for Pickett. If they want to trade him before the season they probably settle for a 7th or 2027 6th. You’d be better off waiting for them to cut him.
If he can’t win a spot in Cle, he’s very close to out of the league.

Kind of indicates we are dysfunctional organization. I kind of agree with that during Matt Canada's reign of incompetence. Christ! people should have been fired for that decision.

 

True....I don't think Kenny will become a good QB and he was a huge reach back in 2022 when they could have him in the 3rd round but this is also true the steelers gave him no favor in a Matt Canada offense and they asked him to not lose the game instead to try to winning the game

I also don't think Tomlin can develop a young QB because he is too scared about the turnovers

 

Remember they all have College degrees. (somehow)

 

I am of the opinion that we did destroy that one.
While I never thought he would set the record books on fire, I figured at least we could get a good backup and move on from the repeat of Mason.
We did reach in the draft to add to that mess..
So, it's just a dark piece of history in my book.

 

And we may have if He didn't demand a trade.

i agree, we’ll never know what his true ceiling couldve been. There were those few games at the end of 2022 where it looked like he might have those intangible's. His confidence is probably a bit shot now. Maybe time to take whatever you've earned and move on. He’s still luckier than most guys.
