Wow they have us getting swept in the division

 

I think that that is the most asinine thing I've ever read. And considering that I read this board almost daily, thats really saying something.

Seriously though Bleachreport is the biggest farce of a website there is this side of Wikipedia. Unfortunately this is the downside of the internet. It has made any Tom, Dick, Harry, or Andrea with a high speed internet connection a 'sports writer.' Any a**hole with an opinion now has the empowerment and the appearance of some sort of legitimacy, when in fact their opinions are no more valid or educated than the average fan posting here.

This fugly carpet muncher actually thinks that the Steelers will go winless in the division? and double .

The Browns suck and will continue to suck, but even they will win at least one game in the division.

 

Reading the analysis of the 1st Ravens game is all you need to know regarding the knowledge of Ms.Hangst.

She states that "the Ravens have only become stronger this offseason." Really? Really? Losing your emotional leaders on defense plus your go to guy on offense makes them stronger? Now Im not counting the Ravens out. Like the Steelers, their FO is outstanding and knows what they are doing and the Ravens will still be a good FB team. But to say that they became stronger and then finish the analysis with "It now appears as if the Ravens are unquestionably a better, more well-rounded team than the Steelers[FONT=Droid Sans, Helvetica, Arial, sans-serif]" shows that Ms Hangst has clearly spent too much time in the kitchen and not enough time analyzing football this offseason. In case anyone was wondering, the Steelers have not been swept in the division since the merger. That's 1970, in case you needed a reminder. I guess there's a first time for everything...but if the Steelers managed to win division games through the 80s, with Stoudt, Woodley, Malone, Blackledge, and Brister at QB, I think they can in 2013 with Ben at QB.

It really bothers me to see them saying the Ravens will beat us and that they are just the better football team. It almost gives me a sense of what it must have been like to be a Ravens fan while we were winning it all and they were just watching. Man I really hate that football team with everything I have and I honestly hope our guys come out and play with passion against them to remind them that it was just a fluke that put them where they wound up. What these morons fell to mention is that if Ben would have been playing in that first Ravens game we would have won it hands down and swept them last season. I just would like for the ravens to be reminded at every turn that their Super Bowl run went through Lefty and Charlie Batch and NOT Ben who is VASTLY superior to stupid flacco.

 

Calm down BFT....We all know we got the Ravens both games this year!! Chill Sir.....Grab a bowl of M&C and chill. :-D

 

LOL! I'm getting all riled up already and it aint even draft time! I reeeeally wanna see Flacco on his bacco in the worst way! Hopefully MCLendon will spend a lot of time on top of him.

well she has us 8-8 and i can buy that .. but we wontgo 0-6 in the division... i think worst case 7-9 best case 10-6.. probably 9-7 ... and 2-4 in the division... we will beat the browns in the burg.. and somehow the bungals will F up one of the games and give it to us

SMH @ crap like this...you'd think people would at least wait until preseason/cuts/etc to do crap like this...but as many have said...what more do you expect from Bleacher Report...

 

This is the thing - the predictions seem to be based on current roster in a worse case scenario. No draft. No idea about who's waiting in the wings. Too many variables ignored.

That said, I wouldn't be surprised if we were written off by more than few people. Without looking at things like the draft, prospects like Decastro coming into the squad, Heyward finally getting to show what he can do, etc., then we will look like a team who has lost players and not replaced them.

As I've said in another thread, though, I quite like that. Keep under the radar.
