It sure IS a Big Year for Jones. They’ve invested a lot in him and lazy play at that position will stand out like a sore thumb. Even more so with ole man Rogers at the helm. Rogers has been known to call players out literally while the play’s happening. A lot of eyes on the young man now.

I tend to stay from hopes as I try to be as neutral from my feelings as possible when looking at individual players heading into the season. But I tend to think that Jones playing on his natural side has reinvigorated his attitude this offseason. Heard good things regarding him these past few weeks. I'm cautiously optimistic here, but I think Jones is going to have a big year and he will be the first player in a long time to earn the 5th year option. In fact I think Fautanu and McCormick will also be fine this year. I realize that the OL is a major question mark in itself, but we're going to finally see the OL investments pay off.

If Jones struggles at LT, do they move Fautanu to LT?

    Good question.

Perhaps. It isn't out of the realm of possibility. More over to the point, should Broderick struggle, that is gonna eff up the 2026 Draft Plans in a massive way.

I hope Jones figures it out we need those early picks in 2026 to get a QB.

It's not Spencer Anderson. He did play all the OL spots before, but if he becomes the LT it's officially over. I forget where I read his write up, but it really pushed the point Spencer will play inside. Backup tackles are Calvin Anderson and Dylan Cook if they make the 53.

Now, watch as Spencer Anderson not only takes over at LT but becomes an all pro and gets talked about for the HoF. Lol

Pat Meyer needs to worry about his own teachings being consistent. Dan Moore was the only real beneficiary from Meyer. Zach Frazier and Mason McCormick are as huge of outliers as one will get; each starting 44+ games in college. That level of experience simply isn't normal; doubly so in Masons cade where he played 50+ games total.

Troy could potentially be a product of Meyers but he was the most technically sound OT of the 2024 Class; as pro ready as one is going to get. Joe Alt was the complete package so to speak but Troy's discipline and fundamentals were the best.

Much like Broderick, put up or shut up time for Meyer. His contract is up in 2026 anyways.

IMHO, I think Jones is going to disappoint, we might roll with him for the year, but I think Fautanu is our future LT.

    we agree!

he had a messed up elbow, shoulder - whatever last year in camp - don't think that ever healed. Line was messed up all of last year - that plus poor coaching hurt him again.

Hope the best for him, think he has plenty of RAW TALENT

Meyer is below average, but Tomlin and Rooney don't care.
