Winner x2! Standard is the standard. Picking up Vick had Tomlin all over it. Very very bad look.
We are no different than Cowboys or Browns when it comes to the moral compass. Very sad
Now, year after year, we pick up has beens and never was qbs. Be better if we picked up a lesbian
Wouldn’t surprise me at all, when Browns cut Watson , Steelers will pursue him

The question was who was the better QB?

Sorry if I was not clear enough

Rodgers is coming off a very poor 2024 season with the Jets in which he ranked 25th in QBR (48.0) despite having Garrett Wilson and Davante Adams (for 11 games) to target.

But an underrated part of the Rodgers career arc is that he played poorly not only last season after missing virtually all of 2023 but also in 2022, his final season with the Packers. Rodgers ranked 26th in QBR that year (one spot ahead of Wilson). So Rodgers' recent struggles shouldn't be attributed entirely to that injury; the decline started before he joined the Jets.

Qbr is a made up stat.
    Proof.
Ben's last two years QBR 52.5, and 41.3....He had 55 tds, and 20 ints, and a 21-10 recorded.
Mitch Trubisky had a 58.5 Qbr with 4tds, and 5 int, and a 3-4 record his 1st year. LoL
That's all the proof you need. QBR is a made up useless stat

@Rollers@Rollers I think you are safe we will not make 100 pages here

But that is mostly just because a poster in need decided to start a redundant post so now the responses are going there.

Agreed, and it isn't close. Aikman had an all-star team around him on offense for years. When did Marino ever have a running back even half as good as Emmitt Smith?

I agree to a point, but did you see some of the holes Smith ran through? I'd say that o-line also had a hand in that.

Your point is still valid, though - the Cowboys had a better rushing attack. I just thought Smith was a bit overrated.

What makes no sense is someone believing that Tomlin didn't have his finger heavily on the scale when it came to getting his DMV homeboy Vick (and then putting him on the field). And yes, fụck any and everyone who had anything to do with acquiring Vick.

Nah. Watson isn't a DMV homeboy. If he was, then he would have already been on the roster.

Here's what's important to me about Aaron Rodgers which will separate him from our previous QBs.
Aaron Rodgers was 6th in the NFL in "Quick Throw Rate" which measures how quickly each QB get's the ball out in less than 2.5 seconds.
Steelers 3 WRs all run in the 4.3's. (CA III: 4.32) (DK Metcalf: 4.33) (Roman Wilson: 4.39) That's arguably the fastest WR group in the NFL.
We need the ball in their hands and not the QB's hands. When you watch Wilson and Fields last season there are too many times where they have the ball, instead of our receivers. Rodgers eliminates this issue because: 1. he get's rid of the ball quickly. 2. he understands where to go with the football and 3. this means he's throwing the receivers open, unlike Wilson and Fields. George Pickens was our #1 WR with only 59 catches. Aaron Rodgers #1 WR always has 80 or more receptions. Last Season Garrett Wilson had 101 catches and Devante Adams had 85. Lastly, with the ball coming out so quickly it'll make our offensive line unit look vastly improved. We had the 2 most sacked QBs on our roster last season. Rodgers is one of the least sacked throughout his career. If our # 1 WR has anywhere around 88 receptions then this offense will take off. Aaron Rodgers may be a bit washed up, but his style of play is exactly what the Steelers WR unit needs because of it's quickness.

Yup, he tried to acquire him in 2009 after his release from prison but Rooney nixed it because they were already having enough bad publicity because of Ben. Then tried again in 2015 and got his wish that time.

The better QB is Aikman. I was never a big Marino fan. He was a good QB, just not on Aikman's level. I see Marino similar to Jeff George. All the tools but only played hero ball.
