I wouldn't be surprised if he signed for a lot more than that.

I think this is the key point. The Front Office and Head Coach has completely failed at replacing Big Ben.

I wasn't in favor of signing Rogers, too much a drama queen, but hope he does well as a Steeler. On paper he is the best QB since Big Ben, can really throw the ball, but he is 41 years old. He is pretty near that cliff and hopefully doesn't fall off during the season. Rogers makes this team a relevant topic of discussion in the media.

What Rogers doesn't make is this team being a contender or good enough to get us past Baltimore, Buffalo, or KC. He maybe good enough to prevent us from being stomped into a mudhole.

This doesn't change anything long term, except for the front office implementing a band-aid solution to get their 9-10 win soccer participation trophy and deferring what really needs done, notably replacing the Head Coach, rebuild the offense, and finding an offensive mind to develop a future franchise QB.

It's a sports talk show on the FS1 channel. The Facility, Colin Cowherd-The Herd, First Things First, Speak.... there's sports talk all throughout the day. It's better than ESPN, in my opinion.

If Tomlin is back for 2026.... look for Steelers to sign Dak Prescott, Kyler Murray, etc... a high profile QB who gets cut from their current team.

Exactly. Roethlisberger and Mendenhall both deserve blame for killer turnovers, but the only reason that game was even close was the Packers dropping six or seven passes. (I forget how many, but it was a lot.)

Agreed. Perhaps Brown did reach out, but I am certain the Steelers politely declined. Perhaps not so politely.

It's not like they had a franchise QB in his prime during that time either .

Not going to happen they wanted all of those 2026 draft picks for a reason, they will draft their franchise QB next year.

If Rodgers stays healthy and the O line plays better than it did last year... Steelers will get to 10 wins. That will not get them a franchise caliber QB in the draft.... and they don't have enough extra picks to move up. Steelers will be drafting around 20 as usual.

Sounds great in theory, but who is that guy? Arch may not come out and he's barely played...I haven't seen any of the QBs next year being framed like Stroud, Daniels, Burrow, etc. Stroud and Daniels aren't even in the category of Burrow as far as pre-draft hype.

I'll add that I get there is a full-season of college football for it to change, but I just really haven't heard.

The Chiefs moved up to #10 to get Mahomes, the Steelers have 12 draft picks and they can offer some picks in 2027 to move into the top 10.

There will be maybe six or more QBs going in the first round next year, I don't expect Arch to be in the 2026 class.

Not saying they will but they can use future draft picks

Toss in the 2027 number one pick and they could move a lot if there is a partner

Two number one’s at the 20th position can put you pretty high

At least based on a draft value chart

I can check out of the 2026 season completely if they sign Dak Prescott. No thanks. 0% chance to win a Superbowl. Dak is a total playoff choker, shrinks in big moments, and pads his stats in garbage time. Also starting to become injury prone and losing his mobility.

The only thing he has done right is soak Jerry Jones for millions of dollars. The problem with getting a veteran retread even season is eventually the axl breaks and it won't matter which bald tire they mount.

Kenny Pickett went in the first round so that doesn't tell me that much. Do you think they are all 1st round worthy?

I was around 10 years old when the famous photo of YA Tittle was published. He was around my dad's age and I felt so bad for him on his knees with blood pouring down his face. That photo became an icon for the NFL.

I am not happy about having the diva here, but I think we all just have to live with it. Happy to see it is one year and depending how it goes, we will hopefully
get our franchise guy in the draft next year. My hope is that Will Howard is that guy and we can use our draft capitol to build around him...we shall see.

They will try to, anyway! Only 43% of first round QBs get a second contract. It involves as much luck as skill in drafting.
People are all over Arch Manning, but while he has the pedigree we have not seen him play much and he may not come out anyway. I don’t know who the other good QBs will be in the 2026 draft. Any guesses on that?

Howard won't take a snap this season so the Steelers won't be able to judge whether he can play in the NFL or not. They won't be able to determine if he is a QB that they can build around.
