You wouldn't think so but suppose if they really want him they will figure something out.

Good move now he can shine since fat ass Hampton is out of the way. I bet he will lead the D-line in sacks and QB pressures this season. I was worried when he visited the Packers if he left the Steelers would've been screwed.

No,Dick lebeau/Mike Tomlin will find some other long term veteran to play because
they Know the Scheme. I am so sick and tired of this it makes me want to PUKE. I ask all
of you, If Spence does not get hurt, would he have played meaningful snaps? Now lets all be honest here. LOL

Actually it doesn't, it is pure speculation about where the money came from. He even states "we aren't likely to know the real numbers until they are filed with the NFLPA". He's very good with the salary cap and more than likely very close to being correct. However, at this point it's nothing more than a guess hence the title "Possible Breakdown of Three Year Contract...". It doesn't really matter how little money they have this year as it's all about how the contract is structured. If they really want Bradshaw and he's healthy they will sign him. The fact that Bradshaw still hasn't signed with anyone plays in their favor.

Either way, those numbers are inaccurate. His cap hit for 2013 is $1,458,333 which barely moves the cap needle. We currently have $607,427.00 after the McLendon deal.

i thought we were already down to 800,000.00 or so after the sanders deal and sylvester? this only hits us 200 thou or so towards the cap? either way without another roster move they don't have enough for much right now. they usually try to keep a mil. on hand to start the season incase of injuries.

Right, the McLendon deal only affected this year's cap by $135,333. His base, plus the prorated signing bonus, equals a cap hit of $1,458,333. That, minus his $1,323,000 tender only leaves a difference of $135,333. Not too shabby by the FO. 8-)

The coffers are a little light right now, but they could likely get away with running near zero until June.
